The new season introduces a variety of exciting features, including bank vaults, with five scattered across the map. Cracking these vaults can be incredibly rewarding, granting access to legendary and epic weapons, plenty of healing items, and a wealth of gold bars. In this article, we’ll guide you to all five bank vault locations and walk you through the steps to successfully crack them open.
How To Crack Bank Vaults
In this Fortnite chapter, cracking the bank vaults no longer requires bank key cards. Instead, the new method is the Kaboom way, which means exploding the bank door. To do this, you’ll need Thermite, which is not hard to find. You can loot some of the loot boxes, or sometimes, the bank guards will drop them after you take them out. Once you have the Thermite, head to the bank door and interact with it to stick the Thermite on it.
After that, the bank alarm will go off, and the guards will start engaging. A bar will appear at the top of your screen as the alarm sounds. Keep fighting the guards until the bar is filled, and once that’s done, the bank vault will crack open.
Where To Find Bank Vaults
In every match, five bank vaults will be on the map, each containing magnificent loot to give you the best head start in the game. To maximize your advantage, make sure to choose a landing zone that has a bank vault nearby.
Masked Meadows Bank Vault
The vault is located inside the bank on the southwest side of Masked Meadows City. Head into the bank, and you’ll find the vault door behind the counter.
Seaport City Bank Vault
To locate the Seaport City vault, make your way to the northwest corner of the city, where a bank is situated. Enter the bank, and you’ll find the vault door on the first floor.
Crime City Bank Vault
This bank vault is situated in Crime City, specifically in the southeastern part of town. Upon arrival, you’ll spot the bank, and on the first floor, you’ll find the vault door.
Lonewolf’s Lair Bank Vault
This vault is located at Lonewolf’s Lair, inside the big mansion. Head there, enter the mansion, and make your way down to the basement, where you’ll find the bank vault.
Train Vault
The train vault location is not stable since the train is constantly moving and doesn’t stop, circling around the map. To find it, open your map and track the train’s location as it moves, so you can catch it when it passes through your area. This vault works differently since you need to disable the turrets first, otherwise, they’ll destroy the Thermite before it can breach the vault door. To prevent this, climb onto the train, take out the turrets, then proceed to the vault door and place the Thermite on it.
The train turrets will drop Thermites after they are destroyed.
