- Playtonic Games aims to provide a better gameplay experience by addressing issues from the original version.
With the release of Yooka-Replaylee still on the horizon, Playtonic Games has revealed that Rextro’s Arcade is getting a significant rework. While Yooka-Replaylee looks to overhaul various aspects of the 2017 game, these new changes to Rextro’s Arcade are an especially big deal to some players since many were not fans of the original version.
One of the areas in the original Yooka-Laylee was Rextro’s Arcade, a place where players could take on a variety of minigames to gain Pagies to use in the main game. The collection of minigames featured things like kart racing and Yooka and Laylee running on a track collecting items. While the minigames provided a break from the normal gameplay, they received a mixed reception, with some players finding them tedious and frustrating to complete. Fortunately, it sounds like the developers at Playtonic Games have taken this into account with the remaster and aim to create a better gameplay experience.
