In PGA Tour 2K25, how the game feels is all down to the swing input mechanic and how comfortable you are with it. If it doesn’t feel right, you’re going to struggle to hit shots as far and straight as you’d like. Thankfully, there are a few options.

The first thing you choose when you load up PGA Tour 2K25 is what swing input you’re going to use. There are three options, and you don’t get the chance to test each one out before you make a choice. They’re all quite different, so you’ll want to pick the best option.

In PGA Tour 2K25, there are three different swing input control settings you can choose from. Each one is very different. Those settings are:

Swing Input

How It Works

Right Stick

This is the control system used in most golf games. To do your back swing, you pull down vertically on the right stick. Then you push the stick directly up to hit the ball. Your aim is to keep the swing pack with your stick movements as straight as possible. This also works the same for mouse controls on PC.

3-Click

This is a simplified swing mechanic that’s more focused on timing than direction. You press a button (or click on PC)

Left Stick

This works the same as right stick, with you moving the stick down and up vertically to hit the ball straight, but you use the left stick on your controller instead.

The best swing input option in PGA Tour 2K25 is the right stick one. Not only does it feel more natural than the three-click option, but it gives you more control over your shots. For some players who are left-handed, the left stick option might feel more natural.

You can use 3-click if you’re looking for an easier mechanic to master or the stick option doesn’t feel right, but you’re better just using the new Perfect Swing difficulty option if you’re looking for an easier time on the courses.

You can change the swing input setting by heading to the settings menu from the main menu.
