We spoke with RGG Studio chief producer Hiroyuki Sakamoto at a recent Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii event.
The only problem is that to make all these items, you’re going to need Coconuts. Lots of them. But where exactly can you find not only some, but enough to craft them all? Don’t worry, we’ve got it all covered right here.
Where To Find Coconuts
There are a couple of ways to get Coconuts that we’ve come across in-game, and we also can’t rule out that they may appear randomly available from Merchant Ships at sea#sea-merchant-ships.
Growing On Trees
Coconuts can be found growing on palm trees in various locations and you can grab them with your Chain Hook. You’re not guaranteed to get a Coconut each time, as sometimes you’ll get a Quality Mango instead.
While palm trees are common across the game, not all grow fruit. Areas where we have found palm trees include:
- Rich island, just by the stairs leading up to the Central Plaza.
- In Anaconda Harbour Park, especially close to the water.
- Along the beachfront of Aloha Beach.
Coconuts do eventually respawn and replenish, so you can revisit the same trees later to harvest from them again.
Kau Wela Market
Another way to get Coconuts is to purchase them from Kau Wela Market in Anaconda Harbor Park. The only problem is that they’re not always in stock, as the stock changes randomly. When Kau Wela Market does have Coconuts in stock, it has five at a time at $2.00 each.
If the market doesn’t have Coconuts, we’ve found you can force the market to change its stock by fast travelling to a different taxi point other than the closest ones (so not the Anaconda Harbor Park Drop-Off Only), and then fast travelling back to Anaconda Harbor Park.
