We might finally find out whether Majima’s Mad Dog personality is just an act or his true inner beast unleashed.

Fortunately, you don’t have to wait too long to get your hands (and feet) on a Street Surfer, so here’s everything you need to know about when it unlocks and how to use it. Happy cruising!

When Do You Unlock The Street Surfer?

Majima and Noah starting the Street Surfer Substory in Like a Dragon Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.

You unlock the Street Surfer by completing the substory called ‘The Symbol of the City, the Street Surfer’, which becomes available in Chapter Two after you’re instructed to find enough crew members and money to take part in the Pirate’s Coliseum.

As you leave Aloha Beach and head to Aloha Street (heading towards Revolve as the storyline suggests), you’ll automatically be thrown into a cutscene that prompts the start of this substory.

How To Use The Street Surfer

Once you’ve unlocked the Street Surfer, you can use it/put it away at any time in Honolulu by pressing down on your D-Pad.

How To Auto-Cruise

If you have marked a location on your map, pressing RT will make the Street Surfer automatically take you to your destination, providing you have enough charge.

Enemies and objects may interrupt your automatic travel plans, but you can still steer with the left thumbstick while on Auto-Cruise to try and avoid any mishaps.

How To Recharge Your Street Surfer
