What might be surprising though is that most of the cast behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 don’t have an extensive history acting for video games, with only a couple of the main cast having featured in a game before. So, what’s the story behind the voice cast of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?

Kubyenka

Played By Milton Welsh

While Kubyenka isn’t part of the main cast in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 until the second half of the story, he quickly makes a strong impression thanks to his forgetful and well-intentioned nature. He’s portrayed by Milton Welsh, a German actor for whom Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is his video game debut.

Arguably the most well-known project Welsh has been a part of is playing Franz in the critically-acclaimed Wes Anderson movie, Grand Budapest Hotel. He also played Belkin in Plan A, as well as appearing in all episode of German TV series Almania as the character Klaus.

7

Musa Of Mali

Played By Hainsley Lloyd Bennett

Musa of Mali shows up during Henry’s undercover operation in Sigismund’s camp and if you make the right dialogue choices, becomes a quick ally. He ends up having more appearances throughout the last act of the game than you might initially expect, making him a clear candidate for a fan-favourite.

Like many of the actors who’ve worked on Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, this is his first video game role. His most popular role before the game is featured in TV series Pennyworth (covering the origins of Batman’s loyal companion Alfred) portraying the character of Bazza. On top of this he played Anthony in King of Crime 3, and also had a recurring role in classic UK soap series Eastenders as a doctor between 2015 and 2017.

6

Samuel

Played By Mads Hjulmand

Samuel originally seems to be one of the many side characters swept up in the overarching plot of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and it’s easy to assume that he’ll quickly disappear soon after his role in the quest is over. But that couldn’t be further from the truth as it’s soon revealed that he has an irreplaceable connection with Henry, further entangling him in the game’s plot.

The role of Samuel is expertly portrayed by Mads Hjulmand a Danish actor whose most well known for playing the character of Jan in Danish drama Sløborn. While he’s never acted in a video game before Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, he has portrayed a video game character. You might not know that the Pokemon Sun & Moon anime has a Danish dub, and Hjulmand was the voice of fire-type trial captain Kiawe. He’s also done voice work for Danish-dubbed Disney projects, with notable roles being Prince Naveen in Princess and the Frog and Hector from Coco.

Rosa Ruthard

Played By Katie Griffiths

While there are a handful of side characters that Henry can romance throughout Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, one of the most interesting and attention-grabbing (especially considering her limited screen time), is the sole daughter of the Ruthard family, Rosa.

Throughout her appearances she is portrayed by Katie Griffiths, an actor from the UK. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is her first role in a video game, and she likely started work on the game soon after finishing her 59-episode stint on long-running drama Waterloo Road, playing the character of Chlo Charles between 2006 and 2023.

4

Godwin

Played By Euan Macnaughton

Even though you spend most of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 playing as Henry, there are some shorter linear missions where you’ll take control of the emotionally complex Father Godwin, a lifelong family disappointment turned priest.

The character is played by Euan Macnaughton, and Godwin is his first time playing a character in a video game. As an industry veteran, he’s been acting since 1995, and notably he played a priest as recently as 2024 in the movie Strangers. He’s also had one-off appearances in popular UK TV series like Call The Midwife and The Crown.

3

Katherine

Played By Jan Anderson

One of the most prevalent original characters in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance sequel, Katherine appears as early as the game’s prologue, and inspires mystery until it’s revealed that she works as an undercover agent for Zizka.

Her bold personality is portrayed by Jan Anderson, who started off her career gaining attention on the stage through multiple theater productions. She’s most well known on screen for her recurring role as Chloe in Casualty, appearing in 90 episodes. For one of her stranger one-off roles, she played the character of Marie, victim of parasitic alien technology in Season 2 of Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood.

2

Hans Capon

Played By Luke Dale

Easily one of the more loveable (albeit occasionally frustrating) characters in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is Hans Capon. A frequent victim of kidnappings, and unapologetically proud of his status as a noble heir, Hans works as a perfect partner to the protagonist.

Played by Luke Dale, he stands out from most of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 cast since this isn’t his first time appearing in a video game. Of course, he was in the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance, but he also did voice over work in Battlefield 5, as well as portraying the character of Vedrik in Forgotten Faiths. He’s also had plenty of TV appearances as well, acting in one-off episodes of Holby City, Doctors, Genius, and The Royals.

1

Henry

Played By Tom McKay

Part of what makes Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 such an enjoyable game to play is that we get the honor of playing as Henry. Perhaps breaking the record for most lines for one character in a video game, it’s no wonder that Tom McKay had his work set out for him.

The only other video game he worked on was the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Appearing on the big and small screen since the mid-2000s, McKay played another Henry in 2024’s Touchdown, and has also acted in one-off episodes of Senna, Ellis, and Black Cake. While playing Henry is likely his biggest role to date, it’s fun to look back at the humble beginnings of his career when he acted in 2005’s cult-classic lesbian rom-com Imagine Me & You, where he portrayed the illustrious role of Michael 2.
