In order to complete the latter, you will have to go around several places, so this quest, The Devil’s Pack, will take a long time to complete. Here, we will guide you on how to track down Dey Devil’s men and bring them back into the group.
Talk To Bohuta
When you have finished the Speak of the Devil quest, talk to Kubyenka and ask him about the rest of the gang. He will give you some information about Bohuta and Matthew, so you will need to find out about the rest on your own, but it won’t be that complicated.
Head over to Bohuta’s coordinates marked on your map and talk to him. Bohuta is a changed man now, so he won’t agree to come back, but he will provide you with some information regarding Ranyek’s whereabouts.
After that, Bohuta will invite you to pray with him for the Dry Devil. You should join him. Now, follow him to his brother’s grave and start praying. Bohuta will mess up the verses, but do not make fun of him; otherwise, he will become hostile, and you will end up fighting him.
Finish the prayer peacefully, and he will reward you with a treasure map.
Where To Find Ranyek
Now that you know where Ranyek could be, head to the coordinates marked on your map and go to the inn. Speak to the innkeeper, Wolfram Raus, and you will learn that Raynek was there, but he has already left some folks from Bayley.
The innkeeper will also give you some crucial information about one other person you are looking for. Apparently, Adder had an affair with the butcher’s wife in the area, and he is being punished, but that comes later. For now, head over to Bylany and figure out what happened to Raynek.
Talk to the dice players in the area, and you will learn that Raynek was unable to pay his debt and was buried alive. The people who buried him would gang up on you and would ask you to pay his debt. The best option here is to use your persuasion skills, and you will get out of any trouble.
If you managed to intimate the dice players or paid Raynek’s debt you should loot his corpse. This way you will get his bow, a pretty great weapon.
However, if you fail, you will have to give them 700 Groschen or dig up the body and give them Raynek’s bow. You may even have to fight them all.
How To Save Adder
Now, head over to the butcher’s wife in Pschkitoky and talk to her. She will deny all of the allegations and tell you that her husband has captured Adder and aims to kill him. So, hurry up and head over to the coordinates marked on your map.
After talking to the butcher’s wife, you must go to the location instantly. While the game doesn’t tell you that this particular part of the quest has a hidden time limit, so if you dilly-dally, Adder will be killed by the butcher.
Once you are in the area, a cutscene will commence, and after that, you will engage in a conversation with the butcher. Shortly after that, you will be given three skills checks. The best option to choose is the third one: “He belongs to the lord of Suchdol”. We were able to succeed with skills and had 16 points in it.
This way, Henry will convince him to leave Adder alone. After that, you simply cut the rope and untie him. He will ask for weapons to take revenge. You can ignore his request and ask him to go to the Devil’s Den now.
However, if you fail the skill check here, the butcher will hang him, so cut the rope as quickly as you can.
Where To Find Matthew
The next person you need to find is Matthew, and he may give you the most trouble out of all. In the town of Moskowitz, speak to the Bailiff and ask him about Matthew. He will tell you that Matthew has been committing robberies, so you will have to deal with him now, but finding him is a little complicated.
Head southeast from the P marker on the map, and you will reach Matthew’s camp. Talk to anyone instantly and ask them to take you to Matthew. He will refuse to come back, and your interaction with him will be pretty normal until now.
If you can’t beat Matthew and his men, try to ambush them at night when they are sleeping. This way, most of them won’t even have weapons.
When you are about to leave, he will ask you to pay the tax first. He claims to be collecting taxes for the King, so you will have to either pay him 1000 Groschen or fight him. If you don’t want to pay him, you must fight his whole gang.
Most of his men don’t have armor, so they will die by around two hits, so don’t let them gang up on you and be victorious. After defeating everyone, loot Matthew’s body and take the Rare book from Sedletz. Now, head over to the Bailiff and return the book.
As the boor is rare, we recommend reading it before giving it back to the Bailiff. However, do note that it will take you two days in order to study it 100 percent.
How To Save Janosh From Execution
Upon asking the Bailiff about Janosh, you will learn that he has attempted theft and injured a villager pretty badly. The village can be seen right next to the Bailiff. In order to save Janosh, you can either treat him or unlock the lock on the pillory at night.
To treat the injured village, you will need bandages and a strong Chamomile Brew. Once you have treated him, you will need to pay 500 Groschen to the Bailiff. However, if you fail to heal him, the only option is to save him by unlocking the lock at night.
In order to do that, head over to the Bailiff’s house. You can follow him when he goes there at night to sleep; it is east of the pillory. Head up the staircase and lockpick the door; the difficulty will be easy but make sure no guard is around. After that, in the crouch position, head inside and close the door.
After that, lockpick the door on the right, open it, and then open the door in front of you. The Bailiff will be sleeping on his bed, so just knock him out and loot his body to get the keys. Now that you have the keys, all you have to do is save Janosh.
Head over to the pillory and make sure you don’t have a torch equipped. The guard will ask you to light a torch, so get away from the platform, and he will follow you. Do not provoke him too much, so after he has gotten off the platform, equip the torch, and he will go away. After that, simply unlock the lock, and Janosh will escape.
Talk To The Dry Devil
Now that you have recruited back some members, head back to the Devil’s Den and talk to the Dry Devil. While drinking, tell the others about what happened to the ones who couldn’t make it back. The gang will continue celebrating, so after the celebration, talk to the Dry Devil once more to complete the quest.
