Unlike armor in Avowed, you may not think that your clothing is going to do much to protect you, so you may put finding good articles of clothing on the back burner. However, Unique clothing pieces are so much more than just aesthetic decorations on your character (you can transmogrify them for a reason).

Thirdborn Gloves
Great For Fighters
The Thirdborn Gloves aren’t the most versatile in the world, but if you’re a fighter who finds that you enjoy doing your charged attacks, then you should consider investing the coin. The Thirdborn Gloves can, understandably, be purchased in Thirdborn from Cinzia for 3,750 coins.
These Unique gloves increase the damage of your charged attacks by five, and your might will go up by +2 while you’re wearing them. Perhaps not the most useful for a magical or ranged build, but certainly useful if you frequently find yourself in the middle of enemies.
9
Sojourner Boots
Great For Low Health Envoys
The Sojourner Boots are easily found when you enter Shatterscarp, as you can buy them from Cinzia in Thirdborn. They’ll cost you a pretty penny, at 3,750 coins, but they’re worthwhile (plus, you probably have a decent amount of gear you could pawn off at this point).
The Sojourner Boots increase the effectiveness of all your health sources, including things you’ve opted to cook, healing from your godlike abilities, or Giatta’s support abilities. If that wasn’t enough motivation, these unique clothing pieces also just make it easier to regularly utilize charged attacks.
8
Trickster’s Gloves
Great For Fast Attackers
The Trickster’s Gloves can be picked off a skeleton under the surface of the Sand Sea Oasis in Shatterscarp. You’ll need to swim to get them, but if you like occasionally dealing absurd amounts of damage, you should go ahead and take the dive.

This Unique clothing piece gives you +1 percent to your critical hit chance and it increases that critical damage by 25 percent. Don’t underestimate the power of the critical hit, because that occasionally absurd amount of damage can end up saving you a lot of heartache.
7
Imp Catchers
Great For Rangers
If you want the Imp Catchers, you’re going to need to be doing a little bit of exploring. These boots are found in Galwain’s Tusks, just to the west of the Quarry Beacon, and behind a hydraulic wheel.
These boots make dodging in your fights all the easier (which is great when you’re working with a Ranger’s build), and they make fighting from a distance easier (again, great for a Ranger). They are a later-game item, but they’re worth keeping on fast equip if you find yourself overwhelmed in a fight.
6
Ninagauth’s Gruesome Grasp
Great For Wizards
To get Ninagauth’s Gruesome Grasp, you’ll need to set aside some time to make sure that you can do the Side Quest “Homecoming” in Galawain’s Tusks – there you will need to free Petru.
After that, you can claim Ninagauth’s Gruesome Grasp all for yourself, which is awesome if you like playing as a Wizard and heavily utilize the frost spells to do damage. Ninagauth’s Gruesome Grasp increases your cast speed by 10 percent, and it also increases the damage your frost spells do by 20 percent.
5
Sentinel Gloves
Great For Fighters With Shields
Around the entrance of the Ash Forest outpost in Galawain’s Tusks, there should be a crumbling tower, and should you happen to fall down the tower, you’ll find the chest with the Sentinel Gloves. If you find that you like using a shield and being in the middle of enemies, then these gloves will benefit you greatly.
The Sentinel Gloves increase the Stun effect by 15 percent and reduce your Stamina expenditure by 50 percent when you’re blocking. If you’re trying to make yourself a tank in Avowed, these Unique gloves are necessary.
4
Wavebinder Bracers
Great For Wizards With Guns
Just at the entrance of Thirdborn, you can opt to purchase the Wavebinder Bracers for 3,750 coins, which makes it one of the better items that a merchant can sell. If you find yourself enjoying the fact that Avowed leans into the “fantasy game but with guns” aspect of its gameplay, you should consider spending the coin for this Unique clothing piece.

Avowed is a massive open-world game with many mechanics that you have to keep in mind if you want to have a smooth experience.
The Wavebinder Bracers decrease your Essence cost by 10 percent and increase your reload speed by 15 percent. With guns, you probably aren’t using that much Essence, if any, so the real gem of this Unique clothing item lies in that increased reload speed, which, for the two-handed guns, can be quite slow.
3
Councilor’s Shoes
Great For Wizards
You wouldn’t think that something titled Councilor’s Shoes would be useful when you’re wandering around the great expanse of the Living Lands, but they are. If you’re opting to play a wizard and heavily utilize magic, then you’ll get a great deal of use out of the Councilor’s Shoes.
These Unique shoes boost your Essence by 15, give you +2 Dexterity, and increase your dodge distance by 25 percent. You do, however, have to get them from Councilor Kostya in Galwain’s Tusks, which means you better gear up for a fight.
2
Greaves of Exalted Stride
Great For Explorers
The Greaves of Exalted Stride are expensive, costing 9,500 coins, and bought from Alonya in Galawain’s Tusks. If you’re at the point where you can afford the Greaves of Exalted Stride, you may easily overlook them – but you really shouldn’t.
The +10 percent to Poison and Bleed Accumulation is really helpful in fights, given that these effects end up being pretty annoying and detrimental to your effectiveness over time. However, the true greatness of these unique boots lies in the +20 percent move speed that you and your companions gain, making exploring all the easier and faster to do.
1
Windwalker Boots
Great For Everyone
If you want the Windwalker Boots, you’re going to have to wait a minute, because the only way that you’re getting your hands on them is if you make it to the Garden and its hidden area, the Broken Aqueduct. They are worth the wait, however, because, while the +10 percent dodge distance may not seem all that impressive, the Stalker’s Grace effect is.
With Stalker’s Grace, you gain a +3 to Dexterity, which increases all of your action speeds and how quickly you reload your weapons. If you want to move faster and fight faster, then you need the Windwalker Boots.
