In Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you’ll be able to repair and set up cabins across the island, as well as in unlocked areas that you discover, such as Merry Meadow. In these cabins, you can place items and decorations, which are loved by certain visitors.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure: How To Change Your Appearance
Here’s how you can customize your character’s appearance in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
With all the possible furniture and items that can be placed, it can be hard to decide how to decorate each one. Thankfully, we’re here to help. This list will cover some of the best decorating options that you can go with in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Overall, this is meant to serve as inspiration; you may decide to stray from the path and decorate your own way.
7
Decorate Based On The Resident
Every visitor in Hello Kitty Island Adventure has an island friend that they are associated. For example, Dear Daniel is friends with Hello Kitty, and Mocha is friends with Cinnamoroll. You can use their island friend as the basis for the cabin decor.
In Dear Daniel’s room, go all out with the Hello Kitty decor! Not every character has furniture that looks like them, but you can get the general vibe. For Cinnamoroll, you can choose cozy furniture that is white or light pink/blue. This is a great way to create cohesive rooms.
6
Stick To A Tag Theme
All furniture in the game has at least one tag. These tags are liked by certain visitors. For example, Berry is a friend of Kuromi who likes the Joke tag. With this in mind, you can create a cabin that centers around the Joke tag.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure has a lot of cute Sanrio characters already, but we’d love to see these ones too.
In order to get Berry to actually stay, you’ll also need to display stuff with the Spooky and Sweet tags, but it’s totally possible to have the minimum of these items, while loading the room with Joke items.
5
Stick To A Color Palette
This may be the simplest decorating idea. In any room-decorating game, sticking to a few colors is a great option. While choosing one color may be a bit bland, you can create a visually impressive room by choosing a few colors.
If you are going for a bright and sunny look, you can choose greens and yellows, with the occasional white item thrown in. You can also do the exact opposite and stick with dark colors like purple and black, especially if you are going for a spooky vibe.
4
Create A Multipurpose Room
Each cabin room can only hold one visitor at a time, but if the room satisfies other people’s needs, then they can stay as well. While it’s possible to get a visitor to become a permanent resident, this is a process. Before permanently moving in, you can create multipurpose rooms that satisfy several visitors at the same time.
For example, Pam (a friend of Tuxedosam) only visits in the Summer and Winter. He needs to be in a Seaside Resort cabin with Fwish furniture, clothing, and some fish in tanks. My Melody’s Grandpa, on the other hand, visits every four weeks and needs items with the tags Rocky, Volcanic, and Metal.
You can decorate the room to have all of these items, allowing both visitors to stay. Eventually, you can upgrade cabins to have more than one room, but until then, you can double-up on rooms to make them a little more unique.
3
Make Non-Bedroom Rooms
Cabins that look like a big bedroom? Let’s take it in the other direction and make a cabin that looks like another type of room. If a visitor loves clothes or food, you can pivot from the typical bedroom scene. For example, Cappuccino wants a lot of food items in his room.

With this in mind, you can create a cafe or kitchen room, filled with tables, couches, and counters to hold the food. If the visitor likes clothing, you can create a fashionable room with a ‘stage’ area, and clothing on display in front of some chairs.
2
Create Studio Apartment Rooms
Visitors remain in or around a cabin during their entire visit, but how do they take care of basic necessities? Rather than just putting some required items into a room along with a bed, consider creating a little studio apartment.
Add in some couches and a bed, as well as kitchen decor and some food. If you want to section off the room, you can use furniture like bookcases and fishtanks to do so.
1
Use Seasonal/Event Decorations
Lastly, it’s a good idea to use seasonal and event furniture to make a room come together. Did you happen to obtain every piece of Spooky furniture from the Halloween event? Put all of it in a room to create the ultimate scary cabin!
Event items usually share a tag, but a lot of pieces have an additional tag that can fulfill some requirements. For example, some visitors like the Plant tag for furniture; during the Hugs and Hearts event (around Valentine’s Day), you can get the Heart Plant Bouquet, which has the Plant tag as well as the Hugs and Hearts tag.

Beginning life as an Apple Arcade-only title, Hello Kitty Island Adventure is all about the cosy life. Following similar games in the genre, you’ll restore and populate an island, meeting iconic Sanrio characters along the way.
