Summary
- Hasbro has revealed a new line of Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2 Gamerverse action figures.
- At the center of the new drop is a larger Venom figure modeled after Insomniac’s take on the symbiote.
- Joining it is Black Cat, five suits from Spider-Man 2, and a couple of figures based on characters from the first Spider-Man game on PS4.
Hasbro confirmed it is seriously expanding its collection of Gamerverse action figures this summer via the reveal of nine new action figures. Seven of them are from Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2, the most notable being what appears to be a to-scale Venom figure that towers over the five Spidey suits from the sequel that were revealed alongside it.
An image included in the reveal shows the Venom figure man-handling – or perhaps that should be symbiote-handling – two of the smaller Spider-Man figures. While most Marvel Legends figures are around six inches tall, the Venom based on the version of the character from Spider-Man 2 is 10.5 inches tall, hence it towering over his web-slinging foes.
The Spider-Men you can see in Venom’s hands are Miles Morales in his upgraded suit, and Peter Parker in his anti-venom suit, the latter clearly not doing what it was designed to do. They are two of the suits from Spider-Man 2 that now have their own action figures. Joining them in this week’s Gamerverse reveal are Peter’s black suit, and Miles’s Boricua and Brooklyn 2099 suits.
Hasbro Has Revealed A Lot Of Spider-Man 2 Gamerverse Figures
Only 10.5 Inches Of Venom This Time
Rounding out the Spider-Man 2 Gamerverse reveals is a Felicia Hardy (Black Cat) figure, but that’s not all Hasbro had to add to its Gamerverse Spider-Man range this week. It has also dipped back into the first game’s roster again for this latest drop, giving characters who weren’t included in the sequel the chance to become action figures despite the series moving on.
Peter’s Spirit Spider look now has an action figure, and perhaps more notable due to what’s next on the wider Marvel slate is the reveal of a Gamerverse Kingpin figure. One of the first villains you have to take down in Insomniac’s original Spider-Man game, Kingpin is back in the Marvel zeitgeist right now as Vincent D’Onofrio will reprise the role in Daredevil: Born Again which starts streaming on Dinsey Plus on March 4, 2025.
The six Spider-Man 2 action figures, excluding Venom, are all $24.99 each and pre-orders for them will begin on February 25, 2025. You’ll have to wait a couple more days to secure your Venom and pay a lot more for it due to its size as pre-orders for the symbiote toy will be $59.99 and begin on February 27. After that, the Spirit Spider figure will be available at Walmart for $24.99 from March 13, and then Kingpin pre-orders will be exclusively available through Amazon for $39.99 on March 27. All figures will be released this summer.
