How To Start Minami & Nishida’s Drink Link
First, to begin a Drink Link with Minami & Nishida, you must find and complete the five Bond Chats:
- Voice of An Angel
- Taste of Old Times
- Drive Carefully
- Familiar Design
- Fishing Trip
Once the fifth chat is over, the duo will pipe up and invite you out for a drink with them when you’re free.
You’ll find the pair below deck, sitting at the Goromaru Crew Quarters’ bar, ready for a drink.
They’ll be directly beside where Masaru usually stands.
What To Say To Minami & Nishida: Choice One
The trio reminisces about the good old days, with Minami and Nishida leading the way, reminding Majima of his actions.
Eventually, Minami will slip up and get too casual with how he talks to Majima, and profusely apologizes.
You can say one of these to Minami:
1. Think Sorry’s Gonna Cut It!?
2. Don’t sweat it, Minami-kun.
3. Sorry got bein’ so borin’.
The best choice is “Think Sorry’s Gonna Cut It?” as it fits the old “Mad Dog of Shimano” persona that made Majima so beloved in Minami & Nishida’s eyes. They even ask for more of that old attitude.
If you answer “Don’t sweat it Minami-kun.”, the pair will become disgusted by your overwhelmingly level-headed and kind nature. It gets a bit awkward.
While it may seem like the kind thing to say, sometimes it’s better to tell people what they want to hear.
What To Say To Minami & Nishida: Choice Two
After, the conversation will lead back to Majima defusing a bomb with Nishida’s help, and how sad it is that you can’t remember, even though the memories stick with Nishida.
More than anything, Minami and Nishida still feel an overwhelming sense of duty toward helping Majima remember his old personality. They’re loyal Tojo Clan family members until the end.
You can say one of these in response to Nishida:
1. Yeah, right. That’s a good one.
2. Damn, that musta been rough.
3. Cut the red one next, Nishida!
The best answer to fit with the pair’s view on Majima is “Damn, that musta been rough.”, which will open the door to Nishida asking for an apology from Majima when he gets his memory back.
“Yeah right. That’s a good one.”, also drives home the point that Majima doesn’t recall any of this and makes the two want Majima to get his memory back even more.
At the end of either of those conversations, Nishida will thank Majima for letting him open up about something that seriously affected him.
By completing this Drink Link, you’ll increase Nishida and Minami’s level caps to 50 and improve their Squad Leader Traits.

Together, these two are powerful additions to your pirate Boarding Squad, especially when leading two separate groups, offering a wide range of resistance skills to your crew.
