The Straw Hat Pirates are bound to surpass the Roger Pirates in One Piece. They will have to do so to stand a chance against Imu.
Previously, Oda introduced fans to two members of the Holy Knights, both of whom were going to recruit Loki for the position of Holy Knights. However, things changed dramatically with time, and now, Oda has introduced two new members of the Holy Knights in his story. One Piece is only going to get more exciting from here onwards as these two characters start playing a significant role as villains of the arc.
The Plan Of The Holy Knights In Elbaf
- The Holy Knights Want To Bring Elbaf To Heel
- The Plan Is To Take Children To Marijoa
The Holy Knights are, quite easily, some of the most intriguing characters in One Piece. Although they were suddenly introduced in the Final Saga, it just goes to show that they were always being saved for the last stretch of the story and weren’t supposed to be introduced earlier. With the Final Saga of One Piece well and truly underway, it is no surprise to know that the Holy Knights are going to be playing an important role. They need to be beaten one by one, and it seems that Elbaf is the arc where One Piece will see their likes fall for the very first time. The involvement of the Holy Knights in Elbaf was made evident around One Piece chapter 1140.
It was around here that Oda made it clear to the fans that the Holy Knights would be deeply involved in the plot, in one way or another. Soon, fans found out that their target was Loki, and that their overall goal was to recruit him for the position of Holy Knight. Of course, even this had an ulterior motive. The goal here was to lay claim to Elbaf completely and to do that, they need the new King of Elbaf at their side. By installing a Holy Knight as the King of Elbaf, the country would, naturally, be under the control of the World Government, be it through proxy or directly. But, Loki denied their request, which meant that they started looking for alternatives.
The World Government shall bring Elbaf to heel, no matter what! — Shamrock Figarland
In One Piece chapter 1138, it was made clear that the strategy was to abduct children from Elbaf and potentially bring them to the side of the World Government. By kidnapping them and using them as hostages, they would have the upper hand in any form of deal that would be made. To that end, Shamrock wanted one more member of the Holy Knights to join them in this endeavor, and so Gunko used the power of Abyss, the summoning circle linked to Imu, to summon two more members of the Holy Knights.
The Introduction Of Two New Holy Knights In Elbaf
Two More Holy Knights Appear Instead Of Just One
Shamrock clearly wanted one member of the Holy Knights to appear in One Piece chapter 1140. However, instead of one, two made an appearance. The reason behind this was also revealed by Oda. Apparently, Shamrock has been away from Marijoa for quite some time, which is why he doesn’t seem to know the exact situation that Marijoa is facing. Orders from higher-ups essentially wanted Shamrock to return to the Holy Land, and instead of him, two more members of the Holy Knights appeared in Elbaf, both being from very important Celestial Dragon families and holding tremendous power.
Saint Qilingam Of House Limosiv
The first member do the Holy Knights to be introduced in One Piece chapter 1140 is Saint Qilingam. This man belongs to House Limosiv, which is a new royal family of the Founding 20. Limosiv appears to be incredibly powerful, and this is evident from his powers, which are those of the Kirin.
For those who don’t know, Kirin is a mythological creature who is known to be a sort of giraffe-dragon Chimera. This creature is considered to be extremely powerful, meaning whoever wields this ability will most definitely be on a completely different level from normal Zoan users.

Luffy’s strongest form, Gear 5, is not enough for One Piece’s final saga.
The Kirin is sometimes associated with lightning, as seen in Naruto, but that might not necessarily be the case here. At times, Kirin is also associated with breathing fire, using air and wind as their abilities, and manipulating environments, such as sprouting vegetation upon their arrival. It is quite clear that the power of the Kirin is multidimensional and Oda will surely have his fun with this Holy Knight. On top of the awakened Devil Fruit, it is also clear that this individual has a trident, which makes him a very interesting opponent for anyone to face.
Saint Summer Of House Shepherd
On the other hand, Oda also introduced yet another man of House Shepherd, Saint Summer. House Shepherd is the same one that Ju Peter belongs to, and fans are intrigued by Summer as well. The abilities of Summer are unknown at this point in time. He hasn’t shown anything, unlike Qilingam. But, fans know that he had a sword with a thorny hilt and that he is most certainly going to be very strong. He should be comparable to Qilingam in terms of power and both of them should be strong enough to compete with the Admirals.
The Hunting Game At Elbaf Begin
The Main Event Is About To Start
One Piece chapter 1140 has only kickstarted a much bigger event as the arrival of Qilingam and Summer has now forced the beginning of a very exciting game. Shamrock is the one who came up with the game, and it is unclear as to what exactly he intends to start. But, what fans can say for sure is that these games will see Elbaf fall into a ton of trouble.
So our goal is to snatch a few of their kids and take them to the Holy Land? Although we can’t use Abyss. We’ll have to use our ships. — Saint Summers
This could be very similar to the Native Hunting Games on God Valley, and perhaps, even more members of the Holy Knights will be revealed. For now, four have gathered, and Oda is clearly going to depict some ferocious battles going forward in the story.
One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus apps. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1140, is set to be February 23, 2025.
