Marvel’s Agatha All Along proved to be a popular show with Marvel Cinematic Universe audiences, gaining a favorable 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Following on from the events of WandaVision, audiences were able to follow Agatha Harkness as she recruited others to aid her quest in a series that brought plenty of magical darkness to the MCU. The show left most people wanting more, but all of the signs and the mutterings coming out of Marvel Studios have pointed toward that not being part of the plan.
Agatha All Along seemed like it would be the latest in a series of Disney Plus shows created for the MCU that never developed beyond the first series, regardless of their popularity. However, fresh news has potentially provided Agatha All Along with a lifeline that will give fans of the show hope that a second season could end up happening.

Agatha All Along Could Be Teasing The MCU’s Midnight Sons
Agatha All Along’s Jennifer Kale could be an important part of the MCU’s Midnight Sons thanks to the history of her character in Marvel Comics.
Marvel Studios executive Brad Winderbaum recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Agatha All Along and made it clear that they want to create more content. He said, “I think it’s ‘linear series potential.’ A show like Agatha, to me, is concept-based. Yes, a second season for sure is something that we would want to do, but let’s not rush it. Let’s get the right idea and then make it.”
Even though Winderbaum’s comments do not officially confirm a second season of Agatha All Along, they do provide a more positive outlook than has previously been revealed. Lead star Katheryn Hahn previously admitted she’d “heard nothing” about a second season of Agatha All Along, which was disappointing for most fans to hear. However, the Agatha star has also made it clear she’d be happy to jump back into the show, and given she is the lead actor, that is one major hurdle that Marvel Studios could quickly jump. Hahn gained a Golden Globe nomination for her role on the show, proving that Agatha All Along was critically just as successful as it was with the fans.
The show ended in a manner that could technically be left alone as a one-season hit, and it would make sense in the grand scheme of the MCU and the world it inhabits. However, it was also clear that there was a lot more to explore within Agatha All Along if Marvel Studios wanted to revisit it, with audiences connecting to all of the new characters introduced to the series and the storyline that Marvel pushed in the first season.
There’s no doubt that some of the characters from the show will appear again in the MCU down the line, as there was a lot of work put into introducing many of them. However, fans of the series want to see them come back in a second season of Agatha All Along to continue that specific story and further develop the Disney Plus series to enhance the quality of the show overall. This would also enhance the importance of the MCU television shows, giving audiences a reason to invest in them even more down the line.
