What Is The Combat Hatchet?

The CQC-5 Combat Hatchet is, of course, a one-handed melee weapon and is the third melee weapon introduced into the game. It deals high amounts of damage to enemies and has light armor penetration.

Similarly to the previous melee weapons introduced into the game, the Combat Hatchet will replace your secondary weapon slot. This will leave you with one less ranged weapon in your arsenal. Simply open up the Acquisition Center menu whilst inside your ship using the designated input key displayed at the top of your screen and select the Superstore tab. Once there, the Combat Hatchet should be one of the possible items available and will cost 200 Super Credits.

How To Use The Combat Hatchet

Whilst the weapon is equipped, pressing and holding the shoot button will swing the hatchet in a short arc, hitting any enemy within range. The Combat Hatchet is an extremely useful tool when dealing with hordes of lightly armored enemies and should be used in favor of wasting your primary or support weapon’s ammunition.
