Genshin Impact version 5.4 takes players back to Inazuma where you get to meet your old friends such as Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko, Yoimiya, and more. Alongside those, you will also come across Yumemizuki Mizuki, who also received a banner in the first half of version 5.4.
However, your core purpose of visiting Inazuma is participating in the Enchanted Tales of the Mikawa Festival event. If you are looking to participate in the event and quickly access all the Primogems, Mora, and other rewards, here’s a guide that will help you finish it in no time.
Enchanted Tales Of The Mikawa Festival Eligibility
Enchanted Tales of the Mikawa Festival started on February 14, 2025, and will end on March 3, 2025. The event has the pre-requisite quest, called Ritou Escape Plan, which is part of Chapter 2: Act 1 The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia, which was released alongside version 2.0 of the game several years back.
You’ll also have to reach Adventure Rank 30 to be eligible for this event.
The optional quests aren’t needed, but you may be get spoiled by dialogues and characters if you don’t finish them before jumping in the event.
Additionally, the game will recommend you to complete the optional quests: Yoimiya’s story quest, Carassius Auratus Chapter: Act II, and Mizuki’s quest Tapirus Somniator Chapter: Act I. However, these are optional, and you can skip both the quests if you want to participate in the event.
Just make sure you don’t start these optional story quests before jumping into the event. This is because the game won’t give you access to the event if the story quests are left mid-way.
Enchanted Tales Of The Mikawa Festival Guide
Enchanted Tales of the Mikawa Festival takes you to Inazuma where you meet Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko where you participate in the Mikawa Flower Festival. The entire event is sub-divided into three story quests which you can complete at your own pace throughout the duration of the event.
Apart from the story quests, there are three main events, namely; Akitsu Harpastum: Dreams Doubled, A Little Fox’s Daydream, and Bunshin Phantasm. Each of these events has puzzle-based activities that you have to complete to receive the Primogems and other rewards.
You also receive the 4-star free Polearm Tamayuratei no Ohanashi as part of the event. The weapon can be claimed for free after collecting stamps which are obtained as rewards for completing the various challenges.
While each of the three events is divided into five challenges, they are basically identical to each other with minor differences. So you won’t have much trouble once you understand the basic mechanics of how the events work.
As such, the descriptions below are focused on the core gameplay of the events, since the challenges are directly based on those with little to no differences.
Akitsu Harpastum: Dreams Doubled
This is the event which is under Thoma’s team and your primary objective here is to take down a Youkai across all the challenges by deflecting balls at it. Once the event starts, the Youkai will throw balls at you. Your task is to hit the balls with your Normal Attack and deflect it back at the Youkai.
Now, there are various kinds of balls, namely a brown ball, red ball, green ball, and purple ball. The brown ball is the normal one which you can just hit normally to deflect back. The red one you need to hold your Normal Attack to deflect it back at the boss. The green ball is lobbed at you, and you have to predict its projectile to hit it back. The purple ball has a specific trajectory which you need to predict for a deflection.
As you keep deflecting the balls, a yellow bar will charge which you can find at the bottom of your screen. Once the bar is full, you will enter the Mega Rally mode where all the hits are Perfect Returns and you deal extra damage to the Youkai.
Additionally, you also have a vitality bar right above the yellow bar at the bottom of the screen. If you get hit by a ball, then you lose your HP. Apart from that, there will be moments when blocks will spawn in the arena. These blocks will have gaps in between them where you need to stand to avoid getting hit. If you get hit by the blocks, you lose HP.
Make sure you keep deflecting the balls, and once the Youkai HP goes to zero, the challenge is completed.
A Little Fox’s Daydream
This event is being spearheaded by Yumemuzuki Mizuki and Sangonomiya Kokomi, where you have to guide a small Kitsune inside a dreamscape to safety. Once you start a challenge, you will be dropped inside a dreamscape where you are given control of a small Kitsune. You have to traverse through various obstacles, collect pieces of fried Tofu, and reach the end.
However, there are quite a few things you have to keep in mind before you jump into the dreamscape. There are basically two sides to the dreamscape, a light side and a dark side. The way this works is you can switch between the light side and the dark side at your will. Additionally, the obstacles change depending on which side of the dreamscape you are on.
You can switch between the dreamscapes while in the air and you will have to do that when trying to reach certain platforms. You will notice that you may be standing on a platform on the dark side, but the final destination is over a platform that isn’t visible on the dark side. In such a case, you have to jump towards the invisible platform and immediately switch the dreamscape, and you will stand on the solid platform on the light side.
As previously mentioned, all the puzzles are identical and once you complete the first one, the rest will become clear as there is almost little to no difference.
For instance, you may notice there is a massive gap that you cannot bridge with a jump on the light side of the dreamscape. However, if you switch to the dark side, you will notice the gap is no longer there and is filled by the platform. This means you have to consistently switch between the two modes of the dreamscape to find your way through the obstacles and reach the final destination.
Additionally, if you fall through the gap, touch a Gloom Mushroom, Squirrel Worker, or Ramen Master on the dark side, or hit the very ceiling of the screen, the little Kitsune will faint, and you will be placed right back at spawn. Once you collect the Fried Tofu and reach the end, the challenge will be considered complete.
Bunshin Phantasm
This event is headed by Sayu and Yoimiya and it’s a very interesting one where you have to guide two puppets called Muji Muji Daruma to open pathways for you to reach the final destination. The way this works is that, once a round begins, you will be placed at the starting point, and you will notice multiple locked bridges and pressure plates. You will also find two puppets at the spawn called Muji Muji Daruma.
Once the first round begins, you will have to walk and stand over a pressure plate that opens a bridge and ends the round. You will find a button on the left of your screen which says End Round Early, which you will have to press. Now, once the second round begins, the first Muji Muji Daruma will retrace the exact path that you have followed so far. Ending the round early means the Muji Muji Daruma won’t step away from the pressure plate.
Occasionally, you will find two pressure plates beside each other. In such cases, you will have three pressure plates and just two Muji Muji Daruma. However, it’s pretty simple as remember the Muji Muji Daruma will retrace the exact path you take at first before ending the round. All you have to do is stand on the first pressure plate long enough to open the first path and then stand on the second pressure plate and end the round.
This will mean that the Muji Muji Daruma will stand on the first pressure plate, which will let you pass the bridge, and then move to the pressure plate beside the first one and thereby open the second path. Make sure you stand on the first plate for a while so that you have enough time to cross the bridge.
Ideally, the gate to the pathways will remain locked, but once the Muji Muji Daruma steps on it, the path will be unlocked, and you will be able to cross it. When you reach the other side, you will find a second pressure plate to stand on. Once you stand on it, end the round. This time, the second Muji Muji Daruma will retrace the path you have taken where it will cross the bridge and stand on the second pressure plate.
This will open the final path for you which you can cross and reach the final destination to end the round.
