How To Build A House
Building a house in Longvinter starts with purchasing a tent from the left orange vending machine at Sgt. Lakes Outpost.
Once placed, you have 24 hours to upgrade the tent into a house. If the upgrade is not completed within this timeframe, the tent, along with any items inside, will be removed permanently.
To upgrade your tent, you need a Workbench, which is also available for purchase at Sgt. Lakes Outpost. This workbench allows you to deposit the necessary materials to complete the upgrade. Specifically, you will need to gather 150 pieces of Wood and 50 pieces of Juniper Wood. Standard Wood can be collected from large trees, while Juniper Wood comes from smaller, bush-like trees.
You’ll need to buy the Hatchet from the orange vending machine as well in order to collect the wood.
Once all required materials are deposited, you can select from five house colors: red, blue, mint, pink, or yellow. You will also be prompted to set a five-digit PIN code, which secures your house. After finalizing these selections, your house will be built and ready for use.
Maintaining your house is essential to prevent its removal. You can monitor its status under the ‘Decay’ tab within the workbench. Adding wood to this tab ensures your house remains intact and does not degrade over time.
