Summary
- Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2 is finally upon us, which means it’s map has been revealed.
- Crime City is the big new area for the Lawless season, but it’s joined by a number of other areas.
- Sadly but not that surprisingly, the Forest of Sprites has been completely removed from the map.
Epic Games has officially shared the map and Points of Interest for Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2, which is titled Lawless and, as the name suggests, has a gang and crime theme.
Although Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1 kicked things off in a big way with a brand-new map, updated parkour moves, a Japanese theme, and the introduction of Godzilla as a boss, it has felt a little quieter over the past few weeks compared to Chapter 5’s events. Sure, Hatsune Miku and Kong were big draws, but all eyes have been on Chapter 6, Season 2.

With Hunters being themed around Japanese culture, no one really knew what to expect for the next season. That made it quite a surprise when Epic revealed that Chapter 6, Season 2 is called Lawless and focuses on gangs, heists, crime, and, weirdest of all, includes Mortal Kombat as its big crossover.
Here’s Where You’ll Be Dropping In Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2
Today marks the launch day of Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2 and, as is tradition, that means that we finally know what the game’s map is going to look like and where we’re going to spend the next few months dropping. Over on Twitter, reliable Fortnite insider HYPEX shared an image of Chapter 6, Season 2’s map, which looks rather different than it did in Hunters.
It’s worth remembering that as always, the biggest map changes come from the start of a Chapter instead of a new Season.
More details on the new map were shared over on the Fortnite news blog, which highlights the biggest changes that have been made. The most notable of these is the introduction of Crime City, the main POI of the Lawless season and one that’s taking up a lot of real estate in the bottom left of the map.
Crime City isn’t all that’s been added to this season’s map, though, as there’s also the mines of Shiny Shafts, a spa called Outlaw Oasis, and Lonewolf Lair, a massive mansion inhabited by the season’s boss, Fletcher Kane. It’s a lot more than you might have expected from a new season, especially with Hunters having such a set theme.
