Fortnite Adds a New Use for Jam Tracks in Chapter 6 Season 2

With the launch of Chapter 6 Season 2, Fortnite has introduced a new feature called “moments” that allows players to use Jam and Lobby Tracks at the beginning and end of a match. Fortnite has continued to expand its music offerings, as new Jam Tracks enter the Item Shop every Thursday. In a recent post on social media, the battle royale even shared a humorous documentary about a fake rap beef between the character Big Dill and the Grammy-winning artist T-Pain.

Epic Games has also used the new season to introduce a fresh feature for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players that allows them to pre-load Fortnite‘s updates. This has proven to be quite popular with a large portion of the community, as it is particularly useful for players who struggle with large downloads due to slower internet connections. However, some fans have been disappointed due to the limited availability of the feature. Currently, PC and Nintendo Switch players are unable to pre-load updates, which means they have to wait until patches are released worldwide. Some have even asked Epic Games to make a statement about when other platforms can expect to see the new feature, but there has been no word as of this writing.

Fornite announces that it will be collaborating with the iconic anime Cowboy Bebop during Chapter 6 Season 2 of Epic Games’ popular battle royale.

Epic Games has invented a new way for gamers to use their Jam and Lobby Tracks in Chapter 6 Season 2 of Fortnite. When opening the locker’s music tab, players can now select a new section called “moments.” There are two slots available, labeled “intro music” and “celebration music.” Fans can use any music they own in either slot, allowing for a lot of customization. The “intro music” is what plays when someone jumps off the Battle Bus and plummets toward the ground. “Celebration music” is what will play after a person manages to win a match.

When selecting a Jam Track in Fortnite, gamers don’t have to worry about bothering their friends, as the music will only play for the one who selected it. Surrounding players will hear their own music, emotes, or nothing at all. When partaking in split-screen mode, gamers will only hear the music player one selected.

While some fans were initially confused by the new section in their locker, many were immediately enthusiastic about the fresh feature. A large portion of the community has enjoyed contrails that utilize licensed music, but they’re exceedingly rare. Now, gamers have access to a whole library of music they may already own through events, battle passes, or the Item Shop. With the new season of Fortnite in full swing, many fans are excited to jump in on the action.
