Horror director and frequent collaborator John Carpenter shared the news of Jason’s passing last night.

Jason’s character in Fallout 2, Sergeant Dornan, only appears briefly in the game, but utterly steals the show in every playthrough. You encounter him when you have to make your way through an Enclave military base. If he spots you lurking around, you can tell him you lost your power armour. This results in him giving the player his legendary lecture, which has been frequently quoted by fans for more than two decades since the game’s launch. The tirade was even referenced in Fallout: New Vegas, years after Fallout 2.
