The Call of Duty series didn’t always feature crossover events, but has certainly made up for lost time in recent years. Season 2 of Black Ops 6 has just welcomed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, letting players spend COD Points on skins and guns inspired by the Heroes in a Half Shell.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 – How To Unlock The Hunter’s Instinct Perk
Hunter’s Instinct is a powerful Enforcer perk in BO6. Here’s how you unlock it.
Thankfully, you don’t need to open your wallet to get in on the festivities. In addition to paid cosmetics, Treyarch has also added a new playlist to the game, named the TMNT Moshpit. Jumping into the playlist will have you participating in classic Call of Duty multiplayer, albeit with a rather significant twist.
TMNT Moshpit Modes, Explained
The TMNT Moshpit will drop you into traditional rounds of Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint. However, you will be equipped with an additional TMNT scorestreak. After racking up kills and playing the objective, you’ll be able to activate this ability, which grants you access to one of the Turtles’ iconic gear, as well as a host of other perks.
TMNT Scorestreaks
Upon using the scorestreak, you’ll get one of four melee weapons: Leo’s katanas, Mikey’s nunchucks, Donnie’s staff, or Raph’s sai. All of them are reliable one-shot kills to enemies in the immediate vicinity. Movement speed and health regen will be enhanced significantly, and your aerial mobility will be radically different due to an added jump and air dash.
Your loadout will be momentarily altered as well, with shurikens replacing your lethal equipment and a smoke grenade taking over the tactical slot. On top of all these buffs, each scorestreak has a unique trait depending on which Turtle you’re assigned when it’s activated. They are as follows:
Character Name |
Ability |
---|---|
Leonardo |
Activate the Ghost, Cold-Blooded, Vigilance, and Tracker perks for perfect stealth. |
Michelangelo |
Drops a pizza box, which functions as an ammo supply, reloading teammate weapons and equipment, but also lets them deal double damage. |
Donatello |
Lets you see enemies, equipment, field upgrades, and scorestreaks through walls. |
Raphael |
Gifts you unlimited shurikens (the other Turtles only have a handful). |
Splinter |
Teleports you to a safe area behind enemies. |
You lose access to the TMNT scorestreak after enough time has passed, or if you are killed.
If you like a particular Turtle’s abilities, purchasing and equipping their corresponding skin will ensure you always receive their scorestreak.
Cowabunga Cranked, Explained
Zombies fans also get to enjoy a TMNT-themed mode with the inclusion of Cowabunga Cranked. Killing a zombie starts the Cranked timer, and you’ll need to kill another one to reset the clock before it runs out. If you fail to do so, you’ll explode, and the game is over!
The Turtles twist in this mode is mostly in the aesthetics, with the zombies dressed up like Foot clan ninjas. However, you’ll also have multiple themed power-ups you can pick up after slaying enemies. They operate as follows:
Item Name |
Effect |
---|---|
Slice-O-Pie |
Adds time to the Cranked timer. |
Pizza Box |
Maxs out the Cranked timer. |
Turtle Power |
Bestows a temporary health boost and Pack-A-Punch 3 melee weapons. |
Each player also gets the Donny’s Time Stopper field upgrade added to their kit, which pauses the Cranked timer for an entire minute when used.
Paid skins help in this mode as well; equipping a Turtle’s skin will give you 50 percent reduced damage from attacks to your back, and Splinter increases your chances of dead zombies dropping Slice-O-Pie.
