Being a massive open-world game, it’s safe to assume that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is absolutely packed with sidequests. Of course, this is true, and you’ll find extensive sidequests in each and every settlement in the game, but what might surprise you is how long they end up being.

Canker
Semine
The Semine wedding that almost everyone who plays Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 tends to want to avoid for as long as possible, is an event designed to progress the main story, but it also houses a couple of tasks and activities you can pick up while it’s taking place.
Here you can reunite with Gules, an antagonist from The Hermit main quest that takes place before the wedding. To help redeem Gules in the eyes of Lord Semine, you’ll need to track down the former members of his gang and retrieve the leader’s mace. For so early in the game, this sizeable group of gang members is a perfect skill check.

Hammer & Tongs
Grund
An element of Henry’s backstory that keeps coming up throughout most of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is his previous life as a blacksmith. One task that highlights this takes place in Grund, where Henry can challenge the local blacksmith’s apprentice Matthias to a forging competition.
If you’re competent enough at the forging minigame, you’ll likely come out the victor. Matthias should end up giving his sword to you as a concession, but the upstart isn’t so willing. Angry that his pride has been stained, he’ll challenge Henry to a duel, and when the blacksmith turned warrior, of course, is victorious, Matthias will begrudgingly hand over the sword, but not before telling Henry he can choke on it.

The Collector
Outside Miskowitz
One of the first main goals you’ll be given upon arriving in the Kuttenberg region is to reunite the Dry Devil’s gang. Of course, some of the former members aren’t looking to rejoin, one of whom is Matthew.
He’s instead posing as a customs collector for the king, robbing unsuspecting passers-by. When looking for intel about Matthew, Henry will learn that the bandit has stolen an important document from the Sedletz Monastery, so as well as trying to recruit Matthew, he also needs to find the all-important document. Even after passing some tricky skill checks, Matthew isn’t willing to rejoin the Dry Devil, but he will give Henry some information about where his gang hides out. So, after that, it’s a case of waiting till nightfall and retrieving the document without them ever knowing Henry was there.

The Stalker
Sigismund’s Camp
One of the most enjoyable recurring characters throughout Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is Katherine, an undercover agent working on behalf of Zizka to collect information all around the map. Henry will join her undercover in Sigismund’s Camp late on in the story, and during this arc she’ll share that she’s being stalked by someone who has stolen her shoe.
Luckily, with the help of Mutt, Henry can use the scent of her other shoe to track down Chakan. While there’s a language barrier between him and Henry, you’ll have a variety of colourful options on how to threaten Chakan to leave Katherine alone. While this task is completely optional, it’s required if you want to romance Katherine.

Absolver
Sigismund’s Camp
Even before Henry is sent to work undercover at Sigismund’s Camp, there are a few other ways in which Henry can access enemy territory. This gives him access to a wide variety of activities, one of which being Absolver.
This quest is a test of Henry’s forgery and thieving skills, as he’s required to steal the eponymous Absolver sword for his client, and then create a replica to replace it, so the victim will be none the wiser. As well as a fun test of Henry’s skills, it’s also a unique method of learning to make one of the best swords in the game.

A Sinful Soul
Troskowitz
A Sinful Soul is one of the many activities that pops up within the main story quests, and here you’ll have to earn the trust of the hermit monk by helping the widow Margaret move on from the grief that’s been weighing her down for decades.
It turns out that the hermit and Margaret previously had a romance when they were younger, but the hermit’s brother Jan, out of jealousy, attacked his brother, and in the skirmish Jan fell off a cliff and died. Since the death looked like suicide, Jan wasn’t given a proper burial, so in an effort to assuage the guilt that was weighing on Margaret, Henry tracks down the remains and finally blesses Jan with funeral rites.
1
Rosa’s Book
Kuttenberg City
Rosa is one of the more enjoyable side characters within Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which is why she’s one of the top choices for characters Henry can romance. However, if you’re looking to romance the nobleman’s daughter, you’ll need to give her a helping hand by retrieving her book while you save Hans in Maleshov.
After you return the book to Rosa, she’ll reveal it’s not just a book she’s reading, but one she is in fact writing. After this, Henry will have the option to shape how Rosa’s story progresses, and in doing so either flirt or make jokes with her, depending on the outcome you’re looking for.
