We love a bit of Dying Light here at PCGamesN – both the original and its more polished, expansive sequel. While it may lack the deep lore and co-op novelty of Call of Duty Zombies, the brutal survival experience of DayZ, or the properly dark scares of Resident Evil, I still think Dying Light 2 is one of the most underrated zombie games around. Open-world exploration, a gameplay-altering day-night cycle, slick parkour, and satisfying combat combine to create a really enjoyable experience. If it’s one you’ve always wanted to try, now’s the perfect time to bite the bullet – Dying Light 2, fresh off of adding a fan-favorite game mode permanently, is super cheap for the next few days.

While it may feel similar to zombie games like Dead Island at points, nothing in the genre offers freedom of movement quite like Dying Light 2. Leaping across rooftops, paragliding off of buildings, wall running over the flailing arms of your undead enemies – it all feels amazing.

The support it’s received from developer Techland is also commendable. Loads of new modes, fresh features, system overhauls, and more have been bestowed upon Dying Light 2, and the Reloaded Edition of the game (which replaced the standard version of DL2 entirely last year) collates all of those improvements together. Not only does it feature the Bloody Ties story DLC and all of the major updates dished out to the base game over its lifetime, but it also turns its melee-focused gameplay into an FPS experience with the addition of guns.

Even this ultimate edition has been expanded on in recent months with new updates and events. Most recently, Dying Light 2’s challenging roguelike mode, Tower Raid, was permanently added to the game after previously featuring as a popular limited-time experience.

If you’re looking for your next great open-world game, then this new deal for Dying Light 2 is one you should probably capitalize on. It’s currently sitting at its joint-lowest price ever thanks to a huge discount on Humble Bundle, but you don’t have long to take advantage of it. Steam keys for Dying Light 2 are 67% off on Humble until Thursday, February 27, making it just $19.79 / £18.14.

It’s worth noting that if you do pick up the game and enjoy it, then the third game in the series is arriving later this year. Check out our Dying Light The Beast relaese date guide for full details. Alternatively, here are some other amazing parkour games that you may also love.
