In Lost Records: Bloom & Rage‘s eighth chapter, Reunion, we get the opportunity to determine a whole lot about who Swann is and how she feels about her new friends, Nora, Autumn, and Kat.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Forest Girls Memoir Locations
It’s time to shoot Bloom & Rage’s first music video! But before you do, you’ll need to complete the Forest Girls memoir. Here’s how.
This section of the game has Swann monologuing to her camcorder, ordering drinks, and discussing her adult life with Autumn — and we get to make all the choices. In this guide, we’ll go over how to see everything this chapter has to offer, and which dialogue options get positive, negative, or neutral results. We’ve tested saying nothing at every timed choice in this chapter, and the result is never positive or negative, always neutral.
Talking To The Bartender
At the beginning of the chapter, Swann is seated at bar, waiting for the bartender to notice her. After trying to get his attention twice, he’ll finally come over and ask how your reunion is going. You have two response options.
I’m a bit nervous… |
Neutral. |
I’m happy to see her. |
Neutral. |
Then he’ll ask you what you would like to drink. First you order for Autumn, and it’s a chance to show how well you were paying attention in the last chapter.
Whiskey and Coke |
Neutral. |
Beer |
Neutral. |
Rum and Coke |
Neutral in the moment, but opens the door for a Positive interaction with Autumn later on. |
Vermouth |
Neutral. |
Now it’s time to order for Swann. There are two options at first, but a third (gin and tonic) opens up if you hold off on answering while the bartender speaks.
Frostbite Cocktail |
Neutral, but opens up a conversation about alcohol with Autumn. |
Local Soda |
Neutral, but opens up a conversation about why Swann doesn’t drink with Autumn. |
Gin and Tonic |
Neutral, but opens up a conversation about alcohol with Autumn. |
After you order, a song will begin playing. Look up and to the right to see the speaker and begin to reminisce.
The Swann Show
In 1995, Swann is talking to her camcorder and needs to decide on a name for her program. Whichever you choose — The Swann Show, As The Swann Turns, or The Swann Files — you get an indication that the choice will matter later on. In Tape 1, we haven’t yet seen any consequences for this choice.
Before we get to the big choices, Swann’s mom will call up, telling her it’s time for dinner. Both choices have the same neutral result.
With the preamble out of the way, Swann begins talking about her three new friends and how she feels about them. The game tracks how you feel about each of the three girls, and the choices here seem to represent romantic, platonic, and negative feelings about Nora, Autumn, and Kat.
First Nora:
Nora’s really funny. |
Positive (platonic). |
Nora’s so pretty. |
Positive (romantic). |
Nora’s kind of annoying. |
Negative. |
Then Autumn:
Autumn’s so cool. |
Positive (platonic). |
I feel drawn to Autumn. |
Positive (romantic). |
Autumn seems a bit uptight. |
Negative. |
And finally, Kat:
Kat seems really smart. |
Positive (platonic). |
Kat’s really passionate. |
Positive (romantic). |
Kat’s sort of a show off. |
Negative. |
After expressing how she feels about her friends, Swann considers how she feels about herself. Each of the three choices gets a neutral response. Before the flashback ends, Swann has one more choice to make:
Moving sucks… |
Neutral. |
I hope we stay friends. |
Positive. |
Back To The Future
Back in 2022, Swann and Autumn’s drinks are ready. Paying now or opening a tab are both neutral choices. Soon, a woman named Pam walks in and attempts to engage Swann in conversation. You can stay and chat, or leave at each stage of this conversation.
Hi, I’m Swann. |
This choice will be remembered. |
I should get back. |
Neutral, but exit the conversation. |
When the bartender calls Swann and Autumn “young women” Swann has two possible responses.
We’re not that young. |
Neutral. |
I’m here with my friend, Autumn. |
Neutral. |
Then there’s one last round of possible small talk with Pam:
Nice meeting you! |
Neutral, but exit the conversation. |
Are you from around here: |
This choice will be remembered. |
Catching Up With Autumn
After that, you have to head back to see Autumn. All of the drink options are neutral, except rum and Coke. If you choose to explain, “Thought I’d surprise you with an old favorite,” it will result in a positve reaction.
If you got something with alcohol, Autumn will ask you if you drink. If you got the birch beer, Autumn will ask you about that, too. Whatever you choose, it will result in the plant icon that means the choice will be remembered.
Whatever you’re drinking, Autumn invites you to toast. One option here might seem negative, but it actually isn’t.
To being old hags. |
Positive. |
To our reunion. |
Positive. |
If you say nothing, Autumn will awkwardly make her own toast, then tell you that she’s surprised you came. You have two possible responses.
I missed you. |
Positive. |
I almost didn’t come. |
Neutral. |
Autumn feels emotional about returning to the past. Swann can show solidarity or dismiss the moment’s importance.
I’m sorry – I understand. It’s a lot. |
Positive. |
It’s fine. The past is the past. |
Negative. |
Next, you can tell Autumn that you’ve “been trying to remember that summer.” If you do, it gets a positive reaction. If you let it time out, it’s neutral. Then the conversation turns to Swann. Autumn wants to know about your life. Does Swann still live in Canada?
My place is across the lake. |
Positive. |
Autumn, what is this about? |
Neutral, but exit the conversation. |
If you didn’t end the conversation, Swann has two options to describe her life in Canada. Both options are neutral.
This next one is a little tricky. As Autumn brings up her son, you have two possible options, but then a third will open up if you wait.
I’m sorry about your divorce. |
Neutral. This is the timed option, and will appear at the top of the options. |
You have a son. That’s wonderful. |
Positive. |
Wow, I can’t imagine having kids. |
Neutral. |
After that, you have a chance to describe Swann’s love life. But the gist is the same: she’s single. And each of the three options is neutral. You can also exit the conversation here. But, if you don’t you can tell Autumn that “It’s good to catch up,” If you do, you’ll get one last positive response, before the chapter ends on a dark, mysterious note.
