After the successful completion of the 19th Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, the next edition is knocking at the door. And good for esports fans as the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games upscaled the number of esports titles and decided to feature 11 games as medal events, decided by the Olympic Council of Asia. Among the list, at least three mobile titles are confirmed.
Mobile Legends and Pokémon Unite join, Honor of Kings replaces Arena of Valor
The last edition of the Asian Games took place in 2023 where 8 titles were featured. But this time, a special board of selectors was tasked with bringing a dynamic environment to the competition, by choosing games from diverse genres.
To bring more engagement and competition, two popular MOBA titles are added. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Pokémon Unite will be joining in the next event with Honor of Kings replacing Arena of Valor.
The Olympic Council of Asia decided on the 6th of February 20256 during the 93rd OCA Executive Board Meeting at Harbin, China. The event will host 11 esports titles including mobile and other platforms. Here’s a list of the titles to be featured at the 2026 Asian Games:
- Street Fighter 6
- Pokémon Unite
- Honor of Kings
- League of Legends (Asian Games Version)
- PUBG Mobile (Asian Games Version)
- Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
- Dreams of 3 Kingdoms
- NARAKA: BLADEPOINT
- Grand Turismo 7
- eFootball
- Puyo Puyo Champions

Though esports has long become a medal event in athletics events, scaling up to showcase more titles is a big thing. It proves the opportunity and market captivity of games played on any platform.
