Black Myth: Wukong was one of 2024’s most successful new releases. The game wildly exceeded sales expectations and earned mostly positive reviews, even netting itself a Game of the Year nomination at The Game Awards 2024.
Since its launch, Game Science has continued to support Black Myth: Wukong with fresh updates that have addressed lingering bugs in the game, added new features, and more. Black Myth: Wukong Hits Yet Another Incredible Sales Milestone
As Black Myth: Wukong approaches the six-month mark following its release, the title celebrates a monumental sales milestone.
The new Black Myth: Wukong update for February 2025 isn’t focused on adding new game modes like the December update, but rather, fixing some of the game’s issues. Glitches tied to the Gauntlet of Legends mode have been fixed and problems with the Journeyer’s Chart have been addressed. A couple of PS5-specific problems have also been tackled by the latest Black Myth: Wukong update. The Quality Mode graphics on PS5 have now been optimized, and a problem where distortion effects became blurry while in Super Resolution mode has also been fixed. So, while the new update doesn’t have any new content, it should ensure that the Black Myth: Wukong experience is a lot smoother.
Black Myth: Wukong fans no doubt appreciate bug-squashing updates like this, but there are undoubtedly those who are anxious for new content. It’s believed that Black Myth: Wukong DLC will be released this year, though what exactly the expansion will entail has yet to be seen. It’s probable that it will include new areas to explore and bosses to fight, though that’s just speculation at this time.
2025 should be a busy year for Black Myth: Wukong. Besides the expected DLC expansion, a Black Myth: Wukong Xbox port is expected to drop this year as well. The Xbox version of the game has already been confirmed, but it is currently without a release date. Presumably, the Xbox port will come with all the post-launch content released for the PC and PS5 versions baked-in.
