World of Warcraft just revealed Tock the Clocker Spaniel, an adorable new clockwork puppy pet players can get as a Twitch Drop to celebrate the release of Patch 11.1. By watching four hours of any World of Warcraft streamer on Twitch from February 25 through March 25, fans can add this robotic companion to their collections for free.

Recently, World of Warcraft locked down February 25 as the release date for Patch 11.1, Undermined. The first major content update for The War Within brings players to the underground Goblin metropolis of Undermine, where they will encounter intrigue, explosions, and lots of new technological transmogs and cosmetics.

That said, fans will be able to get their hands on one such collectible without even playing the game. For a month starting on February 25, players can watch up to four hours of any World of Warcraft streamers on Twitch to earn Tock the Clocker Spaniel, a charming mechanical dog pet. Once earned and claimed, the pet can be unboxed from the modern World of Warcraft collections pane and used on any character on an account.

How to Get World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 Twitch Drop

  • Fans must first connect their Twitch and Battle.net accounts via the Connections page on Twitch.
  • From February 25, 10 AM PST through March 25, 10 AM PST, watch four hours of any World of Warcraft streamer on Twitch to earn the Tock the Clocker Spaniel pet.
  • Claim the drop from the Twitch inventory page.
  • Tock the Clocker Spaniel should be automatically added to the Warband pets Collections pane within 24 hours.

Tock the Clocker Spaniel is a blue recolor of the green Wind-Up Woofer and gold Wind-Up Wuffi battle pets that were available from the World of Warcraft Trading Post in January. Each of these pets matched the Clockwork Attire transmog ensembles and Clockwork Contraption weapons from the Trading Post as well, though blue versions that match Tock have yet to appear. If they exist, it is possible players might be able to collect them in Patch 11.1, if not from the Trading Post catalog in March or later.

While waiting for Patch 11.1 and its accompanying Twitch Drop to arrive, fans should be sure to finish up the last of their World of Warcraft: The War Within Season 1 milestones. Many of these achievements and rewards become unavailable on February 25 or March 4 – the start of The War Within Season 2 – so players hoping to earn them should do so before they go away indefinitely.
