Summary

  • Mists of Pandaria Classic upgrades are now on sale, which include a Sha-touched pet, toy, transmog set, ground mount, and Skyriding mount.
  • The Mists of Pandaria expansion will be coming to WoW Classic soon, though no date has been confirmed.

World of Warcraft has officially started selling the Mists of Pandaria Classic upgrades, which include a Sha-touched pet, toy, transmog set, ground mount, and Skyriding mount for both types of WoW. Available in both Heroic and Epic versions, these Sha-Infused Packs can add some brand-new corrupted cosmetics to both Classic and modern World of Warcraft collections.

During the Warcraft Direct last year, World of Warcraft confirmed Mists of Pandaria was coming to Classic soon, bringing fans back to the critically-acclaimed expansion of the progression realms. Though it did not have a solid release date, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic just launched its final major content update, meaning Mists of Pandaria is right around the corner.

Creator of Invaluable World of Warcraft Fan Sites has Passed Away

One of the creative minds behind several of World of Warcraft’s most popular and often-used fan sites has sadly passed away.

Now, to celebrate the upcoming expansion release, World of Warcraft players can pick up some upgrade packs full of new cosmetics for both modern and Classic WoW. The Sha-Infused Heroic Pack, available for $40 on the Battle.net store or in-game shop, includes the Sha-Touched Cloud Serpent flying mount, Sha-Touched Riding Tiger ground mount, Sha-Touched Tea Set toy, and the Stormstout’s Sha-Touched Collection transmog set, as well as the Joyous Sha pet for Classic. However, this bundle also includes Sha-Warped counterparts of these cosmetics, alongside the Merriment pet, which are available for modern WoW characters. Players who purchase these packs can use all of them in their respective game modes right now, save the transmog set, which will be granted with the Mists of Pandaria Classic Pre-Patch.

Level 85 Character Boost (Epic Pack only)

The Sha-Infused Epic Pack includes everything from the Heroic Pack, plus a level 85 Character Boost for Classic and 30 days of game time. This bundle costs $80, but considering boosts typically go for $60, and the game time for $15, fans looking to get a character to the max level of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic can essentially get one through the Epic Pack for less than half the normal price.

This isn’t the first time players have seen the Sha-Touched Cloud Serpent and Riding Tiger. About a month before the expansion was announced at Warcraft Direct, World of Warcraft fans found both mounts on the Cataclysm Classic PTR, leading many to speculate that they would be included in the Mists of Pandaria Upgrade packs. Four months later, those theories have officially been proven true.

The fine print for these new upgrades also narrowed the release window for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic. According to the store page, World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic will launch no later than August 31, with the Pre-Patch event taking place on or before July 31. While these dates could still technically change, it seems like players will be able to head to Pandaria in WoW Classic in no more than a half of a year.
