Summary
- Zenitsu – Great strength and speed, but poor reaction to danger.
- Aqua – Powerful, but low intelligence and wastes resources.
- Hisoka – Strong and fearless, but manipulative and self-serving.
When it comes to characters we can rely on when it comes to standing by our side in a fight or being a strategic mind on a team, there are several Anime figures that come to mind. These are the ones we would turn to if we were to put up a team of adventurers that could go up against various threats against the world.
While there are those we would fight to have on our side, there are others that we’d rather steer clear of. With their chaotic personalities, problematic methods, or useless skillset, these Anime characters would make terrible party members on any adventure.

Zenitsu Agatsuma – Demon Slayer
As a demon slayer, Zenitsu has incredible power. He boasts great physical strength which allows him to overpower people and this also fuels his speed. His fast movement and reflexes could also make him a suitable attacker for a party. What will make him a poor option to recruit into a group of adventurers is his poor reaction to adversity.
He’ll cry and scream in the face of danger, which is especially terrible in sneak missions. He’ll also be unlikely to fight unless he’s put to sleep or unless he’s pushed to his limits.

Aqua – Konosuba
A goddess with both power and beauty that is hard to match, Aqua makes for a great party member on paper. She can support a team with her holy magic, which can provide buffs and heal, making her supposedly invaluable to a group.
Unfortunately, circumstances stripped her of her exceptional power and it doesn’t help that both her Intelligence and Luck are low. She also runs out of MP easily and would spend more time crying than healing. On top of that, she’ll waste the party’s money on useless things like parties and divine relics.

Hisoka – Hunter X Hunter
As a former member of the Phantom Troupe, Hisoka possesses great physical strength and an expertise in deadly abilities. He shows no fear and welcomes fights against stronger foes. He’d be feared by all enemies if recruited as a fighter for a party, but he’d also be feared by the members of the party themselves.
He is driven by bloodlust and is incredibly self-serving. He’s also manipulative and often toys with his victims. The party will need to make sure he’s always entertained, lest he decides to challenge them out of sheer boredom.
7
Mineta – My Hero Academia
Despite displaying great academic skill and a good grasp of how to use his powers creatively, Mineta frequently earns the ire of his female classmates due to his lecherous antics. In a party, he’ll surely make any female member uncomfortable.
Mineta’s skills also aren’t that desirable. His Pop Off Quirk allows him to throw purple spheres that stick to enemies, which can be used for crowd-control or to cause distraction. It’s only useful in certain situations and will probably just be annoying for enemies to deal with.
6
Barou – Blue Lock
In the realm of sports, Barou has the makings of a great attacker thanks to his exceptional skill and unmatched confidence. He’s also very diligent when it comes to training, making him incredibly physically fit. He’s also a perfectionist when it comes to keeping things organized and clean, making him ideal in a party for keeping everything in order.
The issue with Barou is his abrasive personality. He is arrogant and selfish, not trusting anyone else to perform as well as he does which can be perilous for missions that require teamwork.
5
Saitama – One Punch Man
A party can rest easy no matter what enemy they’re faced with if they have Saitama around. Despite not being a top-ranked hero, he can defeat the most fearsome monsters with a simple swing of his fist.

8 Anime Characters Who Can Beat Saitama
Sure, our favorite bald from anime might be able to defeat everyone with a single punch. But Saitama can’t touch these strong foes.
The problem is that he always seems to be occupied, sometimes with mundane things such as shopping, and may arrive only when the party is already completely beaten up. He’s also a bad mentor and cannot impart any decent fighting knowledge to anyone who looks up to him, making him only great at one thing.
4
Eren – Attack On Titan
Eren Yeager is a passionate fighter who is driven by a difficult past, making him formidable thanks to his strong motivations to succeed. That said, this makes him more of a problem than an asset in a party setting. He can easily abandon his team in favor of his emotions, leading them to deal with his impulsive decisions or even to cover for his absence.
His dedication to his own agendas makes him unpredictable and unreliable, oftentimes breaking formations and ruining coordination in a team.
3
Kaguya – Love Is War
Kaguya may just be a student but her cunning nature and superior intellect makes her great for coming up with plans, negotiating with people, and getting out of sticky situations. She has a talent for being one step ahead of everyone while putting on an unassuming innocent look which could catch people off-guard.
Despite that, she’ll easily lose her cool when it comes to her crush and is often easily swayed by feelings of love. She may turn a fool-proof plan around if it means having a moment with the one she likes.
2
Magikarp – Pokemon
A Magikarp is a tough choice for a party member. On one hand, this pokemon’s latent power is enormous. On the other hand, it will take a lot of time and effort to get it to evolve into something that stands a fighting chance against absolutely anything.
A Magikarp’s primary move Splash is utterly useless in a combat environment. You can patiently wait for it to evolve, but it will take a spot in a party to gain experience and the rest of the team will have to make up for its complete lack of combat and support ability.
1
Gojo – Jujutsu Kaisen
There are few sorcerers that can rival the power and intellect of Gojo Satoru. His confidence in his skill and his ability to grow makes him a valuable fighter as well as a decent mentor. That said, he often gets the ire of his colleagues due to his immense ego and unnecessary flashiness.
There’s also the possibility that a party may feel completely dependent on him and will struggle in his absence. Not to mention that it’s easy to distract him by tricking him using his old best friend.
