- Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater has been quiet for a few years, but it seems an announcement is on the way.
- Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has added a tease in its version of Grind that indicates a reveal is happening on March 4.
- It seems likely the reveal is for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, which Vicarious Visions wanted to work on before COD.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6‘s iteration of the map Grind seems to be hinting at an announcement regarding Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater on March 4, which could be for a remake of the third and fourth games.
For the past few years, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater fans have felt a bit, pardon the pun, wiped out. Despite an incredible remake of the first two games launching in 2020, the series has basically been on ice since and the developers at Vicarious Visions have moved on to supporting Call of Duty instead of continuing the series.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’s 25th Anniversary Is One More Chance For Activision To Change Course
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater is approaching its quarter-century anniversary, and Activision should go all out for it.
Things have been heating up over the past few months, though, just in time for the series’ 25th anniversary. Tony Hawk himself claimed that he’s been in touch with Activision last year while skater Tyshawn Jones recently suggested that he’ll appear in some upcoming remasters. It seems that all might be true, as an announcement is now being officially teased.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Reveal Teased For March 4
Despite how much resentment Pro Skater fans hold towards Call of Duty for stealing Vicarious Visions away, it seems that the favour is being returned a bit. As reported by Dexerto and CharlieINTEL, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 just entered its second season, Reloaded, which adds a bunch of new content.
One bit of content that’s included is a new version of the classic Black Ops 2 map, Grind. That map takes place in a skatepark filled with ramps and rails, as well as a shop that looks straight out of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’s customisation menu. If you go into that shop, you’ll see a sign on the back wall that is adorned with the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater logo.
That sign points to March 4, suggesting that an announcement to do with the series is happening in the very near future. It’s not clear what it’s for just yet, but rumours have suggested that it’s a remake of the third and fourth game in the series, which makes sense considering that’s what Vicarious Visions wanted to do after 1+2.
A leaker recently claimed that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 will be shadowdropped at Xbox’s Summer Showcase, which could be the case if it’s revealed so soon. That, or the leaker was just wrong.
There’s also a slim chance that the rumours are completely wrong and that the tease is actually for the next mainline game in the series. That’s possible, but considering how much simpler it would be to remake beloved games and shine them up, it does seem more likely we’re in for a remake. We’ll find out for sure in just a few weeks, though.
