Jeffrey Dean Morgan appeared in Bloody Axe Wound, a 2024 horror movie which is about the daughter of a serial killer​​​​​​​. The main character, Abbie Bladecut (Sari Arambulo), is in the dark and unique position of knowing that her dad, Roger Bladecut (Billy Burke), is a killer. At first, Abbie thinks her dad is simply selling tapes of murders, but then she learns the truth. Abbie wants to become a villain like her dad, but after she and Sam (Molly Brown) start a relationship, Abbie has to decide if she wants to become a killer after all.

Morgan played another serial killer named Butch Slater.
