Oda has already revealed the strongest character in One Piece history. Here’s who it is.

Now that the arc has started getting closer to its 20th chapter, fans need to know that the intensity is most definitely going to rise. Usually, Oda sets the first few chapters of his arcs for adventure, and the rate at whole the plot moves is most certainly slow here. But, it has some unbeatable charm. Slowly, Oda introduces fans to some of the most exciting plot points, and in Elbaf, Oda has already introduced some groundbreaking plotlines, as well as shed light on some others. With the way Elbaf is going right now, it is almost inevitable for this story to not result in chaos for the country of the giants, and it might as well face utter devastation, which is what Oda seems to be planning for.

The Long Peace In Elbaf and The Arrival Of The Holy Knights

  • The Country Of Elbaf Has Slowly Been Transforming
  • The Holy Knights Are Here to Disrupt The Peace

In the world of One Piece, Elbaf is known as the Warland, and that in itself says a lot about the place. Being known as the warland means that Elbaf is filled with tremendous powerful people. Furthermore, the reputation of this country as the strongest in the whole world essentially ensures that they are a force to be reckoned with. As mentioned by Shamrock Figarland long ago, Elbaf conquered the entire New World long ago, which essentially means that this country of the Giants lost its grip at some point. This also indicates that the strength of the country of the Giants is slowly dwindling, which is certainly very shocking, to say the least.

The World Government will bring Elbaf to heel! — Shamrock Figarland

The reason behind that is quite interesting and it has to do with Mother Carmel and the former Good King Harald. It was Mother Carmel who introduced the idea of peace through trade to the Giants. Although the Giants of Elbaf were opposed to this idea at one point, it seems more have accepted it since. Harald, the King of Elbaf, in particular, who was known as one of Elbaf’s greatest kings, was moved by the ideas and compelled the country and its people to adopt this stance. For some reason, King Harald also seemingly had contacts with the World Government, as is evident from the fact that there was a summoning circle drawn in the Throne Room, which is where Shamrock Figarland appeared in the previous chapter of One Piece.

This indicates that there was a deal of sorts between Harald and the Government, and perhaps that is one of the reasons why he ended up meeting the fate that he did. While Harald is dead, his memory is deeply cherished by the Giants, and his ideas of benevolence and peace still persist to this day. In fact, the upcoming generation of Giants in Elbaf are incredibly opposed to violence, and within a few generations, the people of Elbaf will be very different than they are today. The Warriors will cease to exist and more peace-loving Giants will arise, which is certainly going to weaken the country and allow the World Government to swoop in.

How The Holy Knights Aim To Destroy Elbaf

The Plan Is To Take Over The Country

It has already been established in the series that the World Government wants to take control of Elbaf. This is simply because they want to take the absolute power that the Giants hold, and at the same time, they want to destroy a major enemy that could stand against them in the future by doing so. That is precisely why Shamrock and Gunko showed up in Elbaf and why they wanted to take Loki to their side, as that would easily give them control of Elbaf.

But, as fans know, their strategy of taking Loki to their side failed miserably in the previous chapter. Loki didn’t want to become a Celestial Dragon, which means that the Holy Knights would be taking a completely different path for their subjugation of Elbaf.

Total subjugation isn’t an option right now. Call one more to the land of the Giants. — Shamrock Figarland

As was implied in the previous chapters, the Holy Knights want to get more members to Elbaf and then, begin a hunt for the children of the country. As they do that, they’ll have their own share of hostages which can be used against the Giants of the country and force them into certain situations. But, eventually, the ones who stand against the World Government most certainly need to be destroyed, which means they aim to cleanse Elbaf.

One Piece: Why Luffy Needs A Bigger Power Up Than Gear 5

Luffy’s strongest form, Gear 5, is not enough for One Piece’s final saga.

Curiously enough, the World Government has a very specific method in which they could accomplish this, and fans have already seen this being pulled off once. This method is the Native Hunting Games. This game is held once every three years, and they choose a random nation for it. Its population becomes targets to hunt, and as they get rid of the population, the country itself becomes theirs to take. 38 years ago, the Native Hunting Games were held in God Valley, and eventually, the God Valley Incident took place. Now, Elbaf could be the next venue for the Native Hunting Games with the goal of subjugation, which makes for a very interesting plot point.

Will Luffy Save Elbaf From Destruction?

Luffy And Loki Need To Team Up Against The Threats

If there is one thing that fans can be certain of, it is the fact that the country of Elbaf cannot be wiped out at all. This country cannot face the same fate as God Valley, which means that on Elbaf, things need to be different from what happened 38 years ago. Back then, Roger and Garp teamed up to fight Rocks and beat him, while the Native Hunting Games failed, as God Valley is most definitely not a country affiliated with the Government. In fact, it isn’t even a country anymore.

So, the mark of their failure was utterly erased. This time around, Luffy and his crew, along with the Giants, will have to fight and beat the World Government’s Holy Knights. Later on, if the destruction of the God Valley is ordered, this country would potentially need to be protected from an Ancient Weapon as well. Undoubtedly, this arc could be one of the most exciting ones in One Piece, and it could even give fans a glimpse of the old God Valley Incident, which took place 38 years ago.

One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus apps. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1140, is set to be February 23, 2025.
