Escape Plan is one of the first side quests players will take on in Avowed, which involves helping out a troubled group of Aedyrans. The side quest is pretty simple for the most part as you’ll be finding a few items before finally meeting up with the Aedyrans. However, after learning about their past, players will need to decide whether to turn them in or help them escape Dawnshore. Let’s check out how you can complete the mission and make the best decision.

How To Parry Attacks In Avowed

Combat is one of the major focuses of Avowed and you’ll need to parry enemy attacks, alongside blocking and evading them, here’s how to do it.

Starting the Escape Plan Side Quest in Avowed

After getting resurrected and waking up in Liviana’s clinic, you’ll head up to the Paradis courtyard and Remei will call you to discuss something. After the conversation, you’ll find out there are two Aedyrans with a troubled past who’ll need the Envoy’s help. After accepting her request, players will start tracking the Escape Plan side quest in Avowed.

Finding Thirdborn Land Deeds & Ondra’s Kiss Plant

Before heading to Shantytown and meeting with the two Aedyrans, it’s recommended that you first get the two items required for the Escape Plan quest. The first item you’ll need to get is the Thirdborn Land Deed, which can be found within the Artisan’s District in Paradis City. After reaching the quest marker, you can loot the land deed from a dead body.

The next item is a plant called Ondra’s Kiss, which you’ll need to get outside Paradis City. Once you’ve got both of the items, head to the Shantytown to meet the two Aedyrans. Keep following the quest marker until it requires you to reach a higher floor. Simply climb up the stairs and use the adjacent roof to reach the balcony and enter the room with the two Aedyrans.

Should You Confront the Smugglers or Report Refugees to Captain Aelfyr

Confronting the Smugglers Avowed

After handing the Land Deed and the Ondra’s Kiss to Leoflaed and Glaedwine, they’ll request you to talk to the smugglers who are responsible for taking these refugees to Thirdborn. Here, players will also learn about the crimes they’ve committed in the past. This will give players the option to report these refugees to Captain Aelfyr.

It’s recommended that you ignore their checkered past and head to the smugglers to arrange their safe passage out of the city. After reaching the quest marker, you’ll meet up with Captain Soldis and Ilora, if you chose to free her from the prison back at Northreach Fort.

You can either negotiate their travel arrangements for a small fee, win over the Captain’s favor with the help of Ilora, or simply attack the smugglers. The first two options will safely get the refugees out of Paradis, while the last one will abolish any chances of them getting out of Paradis safely. Whatever you chose, return to Leoflaed and Glaedwine to update them on the situation and the Escape Plan quest in Avowed will be marked as complete.
