A Red Dead Redemption fan has shared their impressive cosplay of Uncle with the game’s community, and despite being a fairly easy look to achieve, the details packed into the outfit are commendable. Uncle was originally voiced by actor John O’Creagh in the first Red Dead Redemption game, but James McBride took over voice work and motion-capture duties for the role when O’Creagh passed away.
Red Dead Redemption was released back in 2010 by Rockstar Games, serving as a successor to 2004’s Red Dead Revolver and set during 1911’s fall of the American frontier. Red Dead Redemption 2 later launched in 2018 with phenomenal success following Arthur Morgan’s story as an outlaw surviving during the decline of the Wild West. Posted on Reddit by grimsage99, a series of photos were shared on the Red Dead Redemption subreddit showcasing the user dressed to perfection as Uncle, similar to other Red Dead Redemption 2 fans who cosplayed as John and Arthur. The cosplayer explained the hat was handmade, the union suit was hemmed to save them from sweating, and the final dirt and grime touches were acrylics. Furthermore, the fan noted they colored their beard and used red grease paint to achieve a blushed face and additional makeup to allow their eyes to appear more sunken.

Red Dead Redemption 2 players were initially confused over what Lumbago was. Still, the medical term has become synonymous with the character because of how much he brings up his chronic condition in conversations. The Reddit community defaults to calling him “lumbago man,” but fans had plenty of praise for the cosplayer in between commenting for them to get back to work.
While the cosplayer replicated Uncle’s dusty apparel and senile demeanor to perfection, another Red Dead Redemption player showed what a young version of Uncle would look like through a fan art submission, and the character is a fan favorite of the Van der Linde gang.
