Almost 10 years later, Stranger Things will be coming to an end when season 5 airs sometime this year. Created by Matt and Ross Duffer, the Netflix show has had an outstanding run and has been a hugely successful TV series for the streaming service, with eager fans tuning in for a whopping 52 billion minutes in 2023.
Throughout this period, fans have witnessed the cast grow up on set and flourish into adults who have gone on to star in many other projects, like Noah Schnapp, who went on to voice Charlie Brown in Peanuts, Gaten Matarazzo as Michael in Honor Society and, of course, Millie Bobbie Brown as Enola in the Enola Holmes franchise. Along with the 1980s nostalgia and menacing dark plot, the show is a success because of its incredibly diverse and talented cast, and as season 5 approaches, Stranger Things fans now get a rare behind-the-scenes look at what their body doubles look like.

Stranger Things Behind-The-Scenes Image Shows What Cast’s Body Doubles Look Like
Over on Reddit, a fan has posted a rare Stranger Things behind-the-scenes shot of what the main character’s body doubles look like, and they are practically mirror images of the show’s stars. Huddled under a tent during takes, fans can see the doubles for Mike Wheeler, Will Byers, Lucas Sinclair and Dustin Henderson, although it seems as though Eleven and Max’s stand-ins haven’t made the shot. Of course, due to many of the cast members being minors for much of Stranger Things‘ filming, their safety would have taken top priority, especially when tackling fight scenes.
Previously, the show’s stunt coordinator, Hiro Koda, revealed to Metro that some of the stars like to do their own stunts, with the likes of Joe Kerry (Steve), David Harbour (Hopper), and Darce Montgomery (Billy) wanting to get in on the action themselves and tackle their own fight scenes. Koda said that Harbour, in particular, liked to initially watch a stunt professional to witness how it should be done right and then jump in to take on the action sequences himself.
Recently, Sadie Sink, who plays Max on Stranger Things, revealed that due to how emotional she was at the series coming to an end, she ended up sneaking a few props from the set to keep as mementos. Some of the items that Sink pocketed were Max’s iconic Walkmans that she listened to her favorite Kate Bush songs on, shoes, and, an essential prop, Max’s skateboard. Sink will also be starring in a musical movie called O’Dessa, which will premiere at the South by Southwest festival on March 8th, 2025. As for what will happen to the characters in Stranger Things season 5, some fans have an interesting theory regarding how each main character’s arc should end.
Stranger Things Seasons 1-4 are streaming on Netflix right now, and Season 5 is expected to debut in 2025.
