The PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 Quarter-Final matches take place tomorrow, with four matches set to go down to whittle eight teams down to four. We’ve got a bit of everything here, with some fairly even matches on paper, while others should have a pretty clear winner. Let’s take a look at all the matches and make some predictions.
paiN Gaming vs. MOUZ

With Brollan as IGL, MOUZ haven’t looked as sharp as you’d expect from this team, although Spinx has proven to be a very solid addition so far. They showed solid resilience to make it to the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 Quarter-Finals, surviving a Group Stage scare in the 2:2 bracket. They’ll face paiN Gaming, who made a respectable run to the Quarters by beating Astralis, Falcons, and Virtus.pro.
I see this one being a real back-and-forth contest. I’ll be pretty shocked if both teams can’t take at least one map each, but there’s just enough individual quality on MOUZ that they should be edging this one out. Don’t write paiN Gaming out of it, though. If someone like torzsi or xertioN has an off day for MOUZ, that could be GG.
Our prediction: paiN Gaming 1:2 MOUZ
The MongolZ vs. Astralis

The MongolZ‘s extremely impressive start to 2025 is best underlined by their IEM Katowice 2025 Semi-Finals run. They’ve looked like a real contender for the big prizes, which has continued into PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025. Compare this to Astralis, who look very lucky to be here based on their current form.
I’ll be real. I can only see a clean sweep for The MongolZ here. But if Astralis want to stake their claim at a Tier 1 LAN again, this is where they need to do it, as their bracket means the winner of this faces either paiN Gaming or MOUZ – a very winnable bracket for the Danes (beyond The MongolZ).
Our prediction: The MongolZ 2:0 Astralis
Falcons vs. Eternal Fire

Falcons vs. Eternal Fire seems to be the most competitive matchup of the PGL Cluj-Napoca Quarter-Finals, with both teams giving a strong account of themselves at the event so far. Falcons seem to have found the key to unlock degster, while NiKo can make any team relevant. Meanwhile, Eternal Fire’s jottAAA gamble looks to be solid, although I do want to see a little more out of XANTARES here.
This one is very tough to call. On the day, it will likely come down to such minor details, and I expect that we’ll need all three maps to determine the winner. I’m going with Falcons 2:1 here, but know that this is not a confident estimate in any way.
Our prediction: Falcons 2:1 Eternal Fire
FaZe Clan vs. SAW

Of all the games in the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 Quarter-Finals, FaZe Clan vs. SAW should (in theory) be the most straightforward. FaZe Clan are the favorites for the event, while SAW are a dead team walking, who pulled off a miracle to make it into the Playoffs in the first place.
There really should only be one winner here. This is one of those series where keeping it competitive should be seen as a win for the individuals on SAW, but Counter-Strike is a funny old game, so I’m more than ready to be proven wrong.
Our prediction: FaZe Clan 2:0 SAW
