When Does Monster Hunter Wilds Release? (Monster Hunter Wilds Release Date)
Monster Hunter Wilds releases on Feb. 28, 2025. That’s on a Friday, and the final day of February. On release the game will be available to those who purchased or pre-ordered the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, or PC. The game can also be played on he game can be played on PlayStation®5 Pro, but PS5®Pro Enhanced features are not supported. The game will not be launching on Game Pass.

Monster Hunter Wilds, as mentioned, is the spiritual successor to Monster Hunter World, the smash-hit entry into the Monster Hunter franchise that once and for all cemented it as a favorite in the West. Previously, Monster Hunter had been a more niche title. After initial releases on PlayStation 2, the franchise slipped into being more popular on handheld consoles, and domestically in Japan.
However Capcom took a huge leap forward with Monster Hunter World, creating seamless travel between zones and upgrading the Monster AI into something truly special.
If you’ve never played a Monster Hunter game before, Monster Hunter Wilds is the perfect game to start with. While it would help to have knowledge of the mechanics of the game, there’s nothing stopping you from jumping in at the deep end and having some fun.
