Here’s how you can hack and slash your way through relentless hordes of enemies and escape hell in Warriors: Abyss!

With 100 Heroes to choose from – you read that right – there are endless builds at your disposal and just as many upgrades for you to obtain as you dive deeper and deeper into the pits of hell. One of these many upgrades is Unique Weapons, allowing you to reach your favorite Hero’s true potential!

What Are Unique Weapons?

A look at Wang Yi's Unique Weapon, Illusion Piercer, which grants her extra bonuses in Warriors: Abyss.

Before diving into how you obtain Unique Weapons in Warriors: Abyss, let’s first cover what they are, as they are crucial to getting the most out of your favorite Heroes. Every Hero in the game has access to a Unique Weapon, which will grant them additional bonuses when obtained, making them perfect for focused builds.

For example, Wang Yi’s Unique Weapon is her Illusion Piercer, which enhances her Attack by 50 percent when paired with Freeze, meaning you must focus on obtaining Freeze Emblems to take advantage of the Unique Weapon. Additionally, destroying incoming enemy projectiles will charge her Musou Gauge by one percent, which is a nice bonus.

Without the Illusion Piercer, Wang Yi will still benefit from Freeze builds, but to a much less degree, as she only has access to her Bewitching Flower of Vengeance, which charges her Assemble Gauge when she Freezes enemies. While that is strong, pairing that with a 50 percent Attack boost will make her a powerhouse, so obtaining Unique Weapons should be the end goal for your favorites!

How To Obtain Unique Weapons

The most common way you will obtain Unique Weapons in Warriors: Abyss will be via Treasure Chests during your numerous attempts at making your way through hell. Treasure Chests only appear upon completing Missions from Mission Portals, which are marked with a Treasure Chest icon and red text that states, ‘A Mission has appeared!’

Entering a Mission Portal will have you eliminate a specific number of monsters as always, but instead of spawning more Portals afterward, Enma will appear on your screen with a Mission. These Missions can range from defeating 100 enemies within 45 seconds to defeating specific enemies and many more. Some are far easier than others, so be on your toes.

If you successfully complete the Mission, a Treasure Chest will spawn next to the Crystal Sappling, allowing you to obtain the goodies from within it. There is one unfortunate catch: You never know what’s going to be inside. It can be a Unique Weapon, an Emblem, Karma Embers, or Juicy Meat, you name it. It’s entirely up to chance. You can even get Unique Weapons for Heroes you haven’t unlocked yet, which adds more salt to your wounds!

Purchasing Unique Weapons

An overlook at No in Warriors: Abyss, showcasing her Unique Weapon that can be purchased for 50,000 Karma Embers.

Perhaps leaving things in fate’s hands isn’t your cup of tea. Can you still acquire Unique Weapons in Warriors: Abyss? Fortunately, that answer is ‘yes,’ but, as you likely guessed, there is also a catch to that. Unfortunately. If you want to get your hands on a Unique Weapon outside of a Treasure Chest, you must fork over 50,000 Karma Embers.

That’s right; you must cash in a whopping 50,000 Karma Embers to get one Unique Weapon for a single Hero in the game. That is A LOT of Karma Embers, which will be better spent obtaining more Heroes, especially early on. We don’t recommend doing this until you have acquired everything in the Hall of Bonded Souls.

For those of you who are unaware, obtaining a new Hero grants permanent Stat Boosts for every Hero in the game, which makes future runs less of a pain to get through, so saving up Karma Embers just for one Unique Weapon just isn’t worth it, no matter how good the bonuses are. After obtaining everything in the unlock tree and rolling credits, you can, and should, gun for this method of obtaining Unique Weapons!

You will eventually get lots of Karma Embers the further and further you get through hell, so you will likely have everything in the Hall of Bonded Souls sooner than you think, allowing you to focus on acquiring Unique Weapons from there on out when you are consistently reaching the final boss, and even defeating them, on a regular basis!
