Kingdom Come : Deliverance 2 is one of the most popular games to release this year. With over 2 million copies sold, it seems being a medieval peasant is all the rage these days. Lugging sacks, smithing horseshoes, flirting with the miller’s daughter, and not attending weddings seems to appeal to fans.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Is Great Because You Don’t Know How To Play It
Seasoned players go into most games knowing what to expect. That isn’t the case here.
While the medieval peasant simulator has been the rage since launch, another title has managed to remain popular since it came out in 2023. Of course, I’m talking about the beloved Baldur’s Gate 3. The two games, while completely different genres, are similar in many ways. So, it only makes sense that fans have decided to bring the two together.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Players Are Using Custom Characters For Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Runs
It all started with a post on the Kingdom Come subreddit by unsteak. They posted a video of the opening scene of Baldur’s Gate, where the Nautiloid crashes. Only, instead of a custom or origin character, it’s Henry of Skalitz from Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. They later revealed that they commissioned a modder to create Henry’s face and hair.
This amalgamation of popular games gave fans another reason to replay Baldur’s Gate 3, but based on characters from Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. BG3 fans will take any excuse to return to the award-winning RPG, and this post just gave them one. Players then started elaborating their plans for their BG3 x KCD2 runs.
“YES!!! When I finish this game, I plan to do a custom run of BG3 with Paladin Henry, Ranger Hans, Rogue Katherine, and Fighter Zizka,” said one comment. Clearly they’ve thought this through. However, other comments noted that Godwin would also make a great drunken monk.
The way both games have brilliantly written their characters makes this a match made in heaven. All you’d need is for Orin to show up as Hans, and he’d finally be able to fulfill his dream of f****ing himself!
