Some games make their trophies extremely hard to get, but one thing is for certain — if someone does manage to grab every bronze, silver, and gold trophy that a game has to offer, they’ll be given the coveted Platinum trophy, which will advance their level the most.

Available for both the PS5 and PS4, The Gardens Between is a delightful puzzle game that focuses just as much on the atmosphere as it does on providing a challenging experience. That said, the puzzles are generally well done and fun to complete, even if they might not necessarily be the hardest in the genre.

The game can be readily completed within about three hours, and it is possible to get the PS4 Platinum trophy within that time. Most of the trophies are just unlocked naturally while playing through the campaign, to the point that most of them are harder to miss than collect. Most importantly, The Gardens Between is just charming, both in terms of tone and presentation.

Telltale’s resume is generally a safe bet when it comes to easy PS4 Platinum trophies, as they typically do not require much effort beyond completing their campaigns and then revisiting certain chapters to pick choices that were originally skipped over. Now, the games do require around 8–10 hours to complete, so they are not especially quick sits; however, these titles can easily be platinumed within a weekend, and they are also quite enjoyable.

Besides The Wolf Among Us, Telltale’s Batman seasons, The Walking Dead, Tales from the Borderlands, and Guardians of the Galaxy follow roughly the same format.

A game set in Scandinavia, Burly Men at Sea is a cute little adventure game about some fishermen who come up against a bunch of mythological creatures. Players make choices that shape the entire story, much like other games, but the graphics are very simple and yet charming.

Like Telltale’s games, the trophies are very easy to gain and hard to miss, so it’s a good one to play through if someone is looking for some Platinums.

Donut County is an indie game with a really simple concept. The player controls a hole, which grows in size as you move it around to swallow objects.

Admittedly, the story isn’t super compelling. But if someone wants a game that’s a little mindless and that they don’t need to pay too much attention to, along with being awarded a nice Platinum trophy at the very end of it all, this is a good one to go for. And it’s admittedly very pretty.

The sequels, My Name is Mayo 2 and 3, are more of the same, delivering a blend of meta humor and quick journeys to easy Platinum trophies.

Until Dawn

Until Dawn is much longer than most of the games on this list, but it is a title that people should find pretty easy to get invested in. The only trophy that’s challenging is the one for keeping everyone alive. A horror story about a cabin in the mountains attacked by something, this group of friends has to survive… until dawn. The goal is to keep everyone alive, and there are various trophies unlocked for preserving the lives of certain people (such as all the women, all the men, etc.), and even one for killing everyone.

If someone struggles with any aspect of these, it’s easy to cheat and look up a walkthrough, which makes the Platinum trophy almost ridiculously easy to get.

In itself, this is a pretty fascinating mechanic, and Life is Strange is one of those games that people can get utterly lost in. Players will have the Platinum before they know it, although it cannot generally be achieved in just one playthrough.

An arcade shooter that encircles players with enemies, Round Invaders delivers the exact experience advertised by its title. Just play the game for an hour and, more often than not, the Platinum will be rewarded.

To obtain all the trophies, players just have to play through the game until certain cumulative targets have been met. These include killing a certain number of enemies, saving a certain number of hostages, and things like that. There are a few specific trophies like completing a stage without dying or using grenades, but these aren’t too difficult to accomplish after a bit of practice.

The trophies are very straightforward: simply clear the first three stages of five characters (Aoi, Nazuna, Sumire, Tsubaki, and Sherira). Once those are unlocked, the Platinum will follow.

A short puzzle horror game by Gamecom Team, A Day Without Me drops players into a deserted town and tells them to investigate. Nuggets of information are presented throughout the campaign, although the story can be somewhat difficult to piece together.

Overall, A Day Without Me shouldn’t take more than an hour or two to complete, and getting the Platinum generally just requires completing the story. The puzzles are also quite easy, so the game should not provide too much challenge beyond the occasional unclear objective.

Another game seemingly designed for trophy hunters, Little Adventure on the Prairie has nothing to offer beyond a small serotonin boost when its Platinum unlocks. The game is a 2D action side-scroller, although it does not offer much in the way of challenge beyond the typical frustration that comes with playing this sort of experience.

The trophies are unlocked naturally by completing the game. The majority of them are tied to finishing levels, although there are a few associated with power-ups. The only reason this game is even remotely worth mentioning is due to its short runtime, but it will not be a particularly gratifying Platinum.

Road Bustle

Sticking with the theme of indie releases that gift Platinums, Road Bustle is a score-based title that tasks players with crossing roads whole avoid traffic. Despite featuring literal roadblocks, Road Bustle provides little in the way of resistance since its drivers seem to be relatively wary of the roads.

This game essentially offers a way to purchase a Platinum trophy for roughly a dollar. And, the same can be said for the developer’s other PS4 releases like Funny Truck and Space Intervention​​.

Storm Boy is a very basic collection of minigames based on a children’s book of the same name from the 1960s. Despite its low price, it’s actually a decent game. In fact, some will likely find its visuals to be charming. Maybe. It certainly seems like a lot of love went into making the game although perhaps not quite as much time. On the subject of time, those looking for an easy Platinum can expect to spend 30 minutes or so playing Storm Boy.

First, players will need to play each of the game’s minigames. It’s possible to get the trophy by quitting as soon as the criteria have been met, but they’re so short there’s almost no point. After playing every game at least once, they’ll then need to be played a second time through the ‘remember’ submenu accessed from the game’s main menu. Once again, quitting out after a few seconds won’t prevent the Platinum trophy from popping so the option remains for anybody just wanting to get their trophy and move on.

FoxyLand

FoxyLand was released towards the end of 2019 and seems to exist primarily to provide a quick and easy Platinum trophy. There’s very little skill required in order to unlock all the game’s trophies, and it can be accomplished in around 20 minutes.

Looking at the trophy requirements may make the prospect of obtaining the Platinum seem more daunting than it actually is. Except for the one obtained by purchasing an item from the game’s shop though, all the trophies will pop at some point during a playthrough. FoxyLand is an incredibly short and easy game and players don’t actually need to reach the very end in order for the Platinum trophy to pop. FoxyLand 2 follows the same formula.
