All Soda Machine Recipes in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Giving gifts to the characters in Hello Kitty Island Adventure is the best way to raise their friendship level and unlock more tasks for you to do around Friendship Island. When you start your playthrough, you’ll likely only have 1-heart gifts and maybe a 2-heart gift at your disposal. If you want 3-heart gifts, which give you the most friendship points, you should start unlocking the various machines around the island.

The Soda Machine is located in Gemstone Mountain, which you’ll unlock through a quest with Keroppi. In order for this to become available, you’ll need to complete two separate tasks. Getting the Soda Machine is highly recommended since it’s required for making 3-heart gifts for two of your friends in Island Adventure.

How to Unlock the Soda Machine

Which Quests to Complete

In order to unlock the Soda Machine in Gemstone Town (Gemstone Mountain), you’ll need to help Pompompurin, who’s located in the Dessert Boat in the Oasis. You will also need to assist Keropi in restoring the Nature Preserve at Spooky Swamp. The following quests must be completed to unlock the Soda Machine:

• Open the Nature Preserve
• Meet the Island Beings
• Dessert-ed Boat

Once you’ve done these, you’ll find Keroppi in Gemstone Mountain with the “Parched” quest. You need to bring Keroppi a Swampy Soda, which you can get by making it at the Soda Machine.

Find Pekkle, who is usually outside the Dance Hall, and you’ll learn how to use the Soda Machine. You’ll get a free Fizzy Crystal, which you should already have the crafting plan for since you’ve completed “Dessert-ed Boat.” Craft the Swampy Soda (x1 Fizzy Crystal and x1 Pumpkin or Spinip), then deliver it to Keroppi.

How to Use Three Ingredients

When you first unlock the Soda Machine, you’ll only be able to use two ingredients, one of which is the Fizzy Crystal. If you want to get the Kuromi and Pochacco’s best gift/3-heart gift, you’ll need to upgrade the Soda Machine. Doing so will let you use three ingredients instead of two.

To use three ingredients at the Soda Machine, you need level 6 friendship with Pekkle. The best way to do this is to give him the Mountain Soundtrack, his 3-heart gift. However, if you don’t have the crafting plans for the Mountain Soundtrack or don’t have enough materials, you should give him the Stacked Stones instead. These only require x3 Calming Crystals to make.

How to Unlock Soda Recipes

Every Soda Machine recipe requires Fizzy Crystal. You received the crafting plans for the Fizzy Crystal in the “Dessert-ed Boat” quest. To make x1 Fizzy Crystal, you need x6 Fizzy Ore. Remember: You can only get Fizzy Ore by riding the minecarts inside Gemstone Mine.

Alternatively, you can have the Nul outside My Melody’s Store collect x60 Fizzy Ore for you. However, if you do this, you’ll receive the Fizzy Ore the following day. So it’s not advised to do this if you need the ore immediately.
