When it comes to the powerful Dojutsu of the Boruto series, fans know that there are plenty that shine. Out of all the abilities that have been introduced in the Naruto series, Boruto focuses quite a bit on the Rinnegan and the Sharingan, while a bit of focus is also thrown on the Byakugan. These abilities are very unique, but they’re not central to the plot like they were in the Naruto series.

Back then, the Sharingan and the Rinnegan drove the story forward in many ways. Right now, they’re just another powerful ability that exists in the world. Instead, fans have seen Ikemoto take a brave step and introduce Dojutsu of his own. In a way, this was somewhat expected, given that newer villains were all set to be introduced in the story. But, at the same time, it can be said that the author did a phenomenal job of incorporating these powers into the story.
The window for introducing newer Dojutsu was far bigger in Boruto than it was in Naruto. Although some could still have been elaborated upon in the Naruto series, the Boruto series took things to the next level and used a unique opportunity of having multiple Otsutsuki be involved in the plot. It must be remembered that the Boruto series has the Otsutsuki clan at the center of things.
Almost everything going on currently in Boruto is down to the Otsutsuki clan. And given that this clan has alien parasites who have evolved over centuries, there is no telling what Dojutsu abilities they bring with them. Essentially, having multiple Otsutsuki means that the author can introduce unique Dojutsu and then incorporate them into the plot in a very effective manner.
The Jougan And Its Mysteries
The Jougan Remains A Talking Point Among The Fans
When it comes to the eyes of the Otsutsuki clan, one that fans are dying to know more about is Jougan. This is a very unique Dojutsu that is wielded by none other than Boruto Uzumaki, the protagonist of the story. Boruto showed this power in the very first chapter of the manga, although at the time, it was assumed that this eye was the Byakugan. Later on, when the anime adaptation began, the eye was named Jougan. Its powers have also been somewhat revealed to the fans. The Jougan can help see the chakra pathway, and most importantly, it highlights the weakest part of the enemy, allowing the user to launch a clean strike on them and rendering them incapacitated.
Other than that, fans were also told that the eye is capable of sensing negative emotions with this eye, and that this power of the eye is comparable itself to the Nine Tails. More information about the Jougan is needed, but so far, it has clearly not been in the author’s plans much and all that’s clear so far is that this eye is strongly inherited by some with Otsutsuki power, making it very special.
The Kokugan And Its Powers
The Power Of Isshiki Otsutsuki
While the Jougan is interesting in itself, it certainly isn’t the only Dojutsu introduced in Boruto. There is also the infamous Kokugan, wielded by two characters, although technically belonging to just one. The Kokugan is a unique back eye with 8 yellow wheel spokes inside it. This ability is quite special and it was unique to Isshiki Otsutsuki. The Kokugan allowed Isshiki to cast two unique jutsu, called Sukunahikona, and Daikokuten.

Both of these Jutsu are incredibly overpowered. The Senrigan And Its Powers
Finally, the last Dojutsu to be introduced in the Boruto series is the Senrigan. This power belonged to Shibai Otsutsuki once, and now, it belongs to none other than Eida, who has his DNA. With the power of the Senrigan, Eida can essentially see and hear anything in real time. Her consciousness is present everywhere and even hidden places aren’t safe. In a way, Eida is the best surveillance ninja got any village to have, as that makes her doubly special. On top of that, Eida can view events from the past just as well, all the way up to her birth. This, when combined with the power of Omnipotence, which she also gained from Shibai Otsutsuki, makes this an incredibly overpowered combo.
Which Boruto Dojutsu Is The Strongest?
When speaking of the strongest Boruto Dojutsu, fans know for a fact that the Senrigan has the biggest advantage when it comes to surveillance and information gathering. In general, it can be considered to be the best asset, but in terms of offensive powers, it is quite easily the worst. When speaking of strength, the Kokugan is the strongest right now, although that’s because the Jougan is still very mysterious and its abilities must be studied more.
