The FNCS for Fortnite Chapter 6 is well underway with one of our majors now completed, but it’s all building towards the Fortnite Global Championship 2025. The grand finale where we’ll see players from each region join together in a single lobby, to find the very best Fortnite players of the season.
As we won’t reach the Global Championship until later this year, we don’t have all the details yet. However, with Major 1 completed, we’ve got our first batch of players locked in. We already know a handful of the players who will be taking part in the Global Championship 2025. Plus, Epic has confirmed the location for the LAN. This is what we know about the Global Championship so far and what we can expect.

Each season of Fortnite esports, the major event is the FNCS. A series that runs each season, with the best players moving on to the end of year LAN. This LAN is the Fortnite Global Championship 2025.
The big appeal is that this is an international LAN. While the FNCS is a regional event, the top Fortnite players from each region go ahead into this LAN. Where they compete together and we get to see how each region’s best players measure against each other.
The LAN is typically played over a single weekend. The players compete in one lobby. Six games a day, with an ongoing leaderboard. At the end of the event the top players win, with points awarded for placement and eliminations. At the last Global Championship that was Peterbot and Pollo. However, this year we’ve switched to Duos. We’re expecting a completely different experience at the 2025 tournament.
This year the tournament is taking place in Lyon-Décines. It’s happening over September 6-7th. Which means it’ll likely take place in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4. Who knows what kind of meta the game will be in by then!

It’s still a while before the FNCS Global Championship 2025. However, a number of the best Fortnite players have already secured their places. As we move towards the end of the year, we’ll see even more get their slots secured. These are the players who have qualified so far:

Those are just the winners from the FNCS Major 1 results. However, we have two more majors still to go.
