A gaming insider has claimed that the rumoured Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 remake is real and will be shadowdropped during Xbox’s Summer Showcase.
As we all know, Activision has made a ton of bad business decisions over the years, from its treatment of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro to how it’s turned most of its developers into Call of Duty support studios. Perhaps the most painful and confusing choice it made, though, was when it reportedly cancelled a remade collection of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’s 25th Anniversary Is One More Chance For Activision To Change Course
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater is approaching its quarter-century anniversary, and Activision should go all out for it.
Considering how well Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 performed both critically and commercially, it came as a confusing surprise that a slam dunk like remaking the next two games was suddenly shelved for more work on Call of Duty. Well, it looks like that might not be the case anymore, and we might be getting the remakes sooner rather than later.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 Could Release In June, It’s Claimed
Over the past few months, things have started to heat up when it comes to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, with the bird himself recently suggesting that something was in the works. Yesterday, that something was seemingly confirmed to be a remaster as Tyshawn Jones claimed on the Breakfast Club podcast that he was going to be in “a new one they’re remastering”.
This seemed to suggest that more remasters (or remakes, whatever you prefer) are on the way, something that’s just been corroborated by insider eXtas1s. As pointed out by Redditor Hot-Cause-481 on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, eXtas1s shared a video where he claims that the project is indeed Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4.
That’s not all, though. Insider Gaming notes that eXtas1s also claimed in the video that the remake, which is seemingly codenamed “Project Chicago” will be shadowdropped during Xbox’s Summer Showcase this year. The showcase hasn’t been confirmed just yet, but it usually happens in June, which would mean we’re not far off seeing if the rumoured remake is real.
While the claims about a June shadowdrop remain to be seen, a remake of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 does make sense considering it was previously being worked on. Xbox has shown interest in reviving Activision franchises that have slowed down recently, so taking a highly-requested project that was already started and finishing it up seems likely.
