Comedic first-person shooter game High on Life is proving to be a big hit among PlayStation Plus subscribers. PlayStation Plus subscribers are able to claim new free games every month. These monthly free games are available to all PS Plus subscribers regardless of tier, meaning Essential, Extra, and Premium members can all snag them for their digital libraries.
The free PS Plus games for February 2025 are available for subscribers to claim right now. The February 2025 PS Plus lineup is headlined by Payday 3, with subscribers also able to grab Pac-Man World: Re-Pac and High on Life. The latter seems to be particularly popular, with High on Life proving to be one of the most successful new PS Plus Essential additions in the last couple of years.

This is according to data shared by TrueTrophies and Game Trends, which claims that High on Life is the fourth most popular PS Plus free game since 2023. Fellow free PS Plus February 2025 game Payday 3 has also managed to crack the top 10, falling in the ninth position. The other games that make up the list are Battlefield 2042 (1), EA Sports FC 24 (2), Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions (3), Saints Row (5), Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (6), Minecraft Dungeons (7), Sifu (8), and Powerwash Simulator (10).

For those unfamiliar with the game, High on Life is a comedic sci-fi FPS from Squanch Games. High on Life reviews were mixed, but there was a great deal of praise for its story and sense of humor. That being said, the game is clearly made for fans of Rick and Morty-style humor, so those that aren’t big on that kind of thing will likely find High on Life more obnoxious than funny. I personally had a great time playing High on Life, despite some technical issues that I experienced at launch.
It seems many PS Plus subscribers were at least curious to see what High on Life was all about, if this data is any indication. And while the free PS Plus additions for 2025 have not been all that well-received, it’s worth pointing out that two additions this year have already reached the top 10, so subscribers seem to be getting their money’s worth. The free PS Plus games for March 2025 will likely be announced next week, so it will be interesting to see what’s next for the subscription service.
