Trosky Castle
The Ruins Can Be Visited During Certain Times Of The Year
Trosky Castle dominates the skyline of the first region in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, a constant reminder of where power is centered. Built on two volcanic peaks, this unique castle seems to defy the logistics of buildings, and thus players could be forgiven for thinking it is the product of imaginative game design.
Incredibly though, this is a real castle, and during certain parts of the year, it is open to the public for tours. It is unfortunately in ruins now, in fact, Trosky roughly translates to ruins, but it is nevertheless beautiful. The shells of the two towers still stand, with these being known as the Maiden and the Crone, or Panna and Baba in Czech. From such a vantage point, fans will have a fantastic view of the landscape, and they should be able to spot villages such as Troskovice, which they will know as Troskowitz in KCD2.

Kuttenberg, which is a German name, is now known as Kutna Hora and is a fantastic tourist destination in its own right, but especially for fans of this medieval masterpiece. While most of the wooden buildings have long been replaced and rebuilt, the general layout is almost exactly the same, especially in certain parts. Some stone structures, on the other hand, survive, especially churches and parts of the walls.

Sedlec Ossuary
A Church Containing Thousands Of Human Bones, Now Artfully Displayed
To the northeast of Kuttenberg, Henry will find a large monastery that will eventually open up with the Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC in the last quarter of 2025. However, there is also a small church in the middle of a vast and storied graveyard, just outside the monastery. This is Sedlec Ossuary.
Henry can enter this church and may be shocked to find thousands of human bones crammed into every corner. There is even a small side quest, given by a monk in the graveyard, to stack these bones into neat pyramids. While this may seem strange, this is a reference to the fact that in the 19th century, these bones were artfully arranged to decorate the church. For example, there is a chandelier made out of every bone in the human body. This makes Sedlec Ossuary one of the most unique tourist destinations in Europe.
2
The Italian Court
A Beautiful Palace & The Seat Of The Royal Mint
One thing KCD2 excels at is showing off the diversity of medieval Europe, especially within a rich and bustling city such as Kuttenberg. Throughout the game, Henry meets people from all over the continent and beyond and will hear a myriad of languages. One such language is Italian, which makes sense seeing there is an Italian Court in Kuttenberg.

This palace was the seat of the Royal Mint, where the silver mined from around the city came to fruition. In other words, this is where Henry’s hard-earned Groschen was made. Amazingly, this beautiful palace still exists, and fans of the game could embark upon a tour and even have the opportunity to try out the medieval method for minting coins.
1
Malesov Fortress
A Living Museum Of Sorts
A fair way through the story in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Henry will be tasked with breaking into Maleshov castle to rescue someone very important. They may also find Rosa’s book here. If players are wondering if this was a real castle, then the answer, as it almost always is in KCD2, is a resounding yes.
The main tower is also still standing today, although it seems to have received multiple renovations over the centuries. After falling into disrepair, however, one entrepreneur has thankfully restored much of the interior to some of its former glory. It’s now a great place to learn about and experience the Middle Ages and is only a short distance from Kutna Hora.
