One Piece Fans Are Split On Loki’s Color Scheme

One Piece Fans Are Split On Loki's Color Scheme

Summary

  • Fans reacted negatively to Loki’s pink hair & light purple cape in the final cover of One Piece volume 111.
  • Eiichiro Oda had trouble deciding on Loki’s colors, originally considering darker shades.
  • Despite fan feedback, the final cover is set for release on March 4, 2025, alongside a new English translation.

One Piece released the final cover for volume 111 on February 17th, 2025. The final cover had the Straw Hats on the cover alongside Loki, the Accursed Prince of Elbaf. The selection of characters was ideal as volume 111 is the first volume of the Elbaf arc.

However, some fans do not like Loki’s color scheme, and they expressed their dissatisfaction on social networking sites. Some fans believe that Loki’s pink hair feels off, and it doesn’t suit Loki’s personality. They wanted a darker color, with some artists portraying Loki with the same hair color as Shanks.

They also have a gripe with Loki’s cape, which is light purple. Fans were hoping that Loki’s cape would be either black or gray. In the sketching video posted by the official One Piece X (formerly Twitter) account, fans can see that Oda also had some trouble settling on a single color for Loki’s hair and cape.
