Marvel Rivals has been the free-to-play game that launched in December stealing all the headlines, but another title that released on the same weekend has been enjoying almost as much success. Infinity Nikki had been downloaded 20 million times within eight days of its release, and that’s without the action-adventure dress-up game even being available on Steam.
The team behind Infinity Nikki recently revealed that the game will be coming to Steam soon having only been available through the Epic Games Store on PC until now. Although a Steam release date hasn’t been revealed, you can Wishlist Infinity Nikki on Steam right now, and Infold Games has provided an incentive for as many people to wishlist its game as possible, even if you already own it.

There are even more surprises in store that Infold hasn’t confirmed yet, only to be revealed if and when Infinity Nikki is wishlisted 100,000 times on Steam. There’s then something that has mysteriously been labeled The Final Surprise if the game manages to make it to 200,000 wishlists.
200,000 might seem like a lot, but considering how many tens of millions of people would have played Infinity Nikki by this point, only a fraction of them will need to quickly hop on Steam to contribute to the cause. That’s not even including those who have been waiting until the game gets a Steam release to play it who will be eager to wishlist even without the bonus of immediate in-game rewards.
Infold has also promised cross-progression for those playing on other platforms who might want to hop between platforms once Infinity Nikki launches on Steam. Another feature that will likely have people wanting to add it to their wishlists without any added incentives. Infold hasn’t revealed if the first milestone has been hit yet, so either it hasn’t, or it’s waiting for the perfect time to reveal the good news.
Even though Infinity Nikki is free-to-play, and will remain that way on Steam, its continued success relies on players spending via microtransactions. That system is working for Papergames, the studio behind it, as it was revealed last week that it made $1 billion in 2024 alone.
