Infinity Nikki Players Are Frustrated With Mira Crown Trend

Summary

  • Infinity Nikki players are frustrated with Mira Crown stars locked behind limited 5-Star outfits.
  • Completing the Mira Crown challenges requires engaging with the gacha system for specific items.
  • Players want endgame rewards like the Mira Crown to be less dependent on gacha Outfits in Infinity Nikki.

Infinity Nikki players have started to feel frustrated about the recent trend of locking Mira Crown stars behind limited 5-Star outfits. While Infinity Nikki is primarily an open-world experience, and players can complete the majority of its content with just the base outfits, it is also a gacha game by design. Certain challenges require clothing that can only be obtained via Limited Banners, and obtaining a full set can cost a considerable amount of Diamonds – the premium currency in Infinity Nikki.

As a parallel to the Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact, Infinity Nikki has the Mira Crown. It resets twice per version, with the current cycle lasting until February 25, 2025. Infinity Nikki players are encouraged to obtain all 24 stars by completing its eight stylist challenges with a Perfect Score, as doing so awards them the maximum number of Sparklite and Diamonds. In practice, this is impossible to achieve without engaging with the game’s gacha system. Unlike other stylist challenges in Infinity Nikki, the Mira Crown is time-limited, which has ultimately sparked an intense discourse in the community.

Infinity Nikki Studio Reveals Huge 2024 Earnings

Sources claim that Papergames, the Chinese studio behind the development of Infinity Nikki, made a staggering amount of earnings in 2024.

One of these discussions was posted by yiq1 on the Infinity Nikki subreddit, which concluded that the current cycle of the Mira Crown was mathematically impossible to complete without very specific items from the Limited Banners in Infinity Nikki. Namely, Round 8 of the Mira Crown contest requires players to have more than four Fresh and Fantasy pieces to secure a Perfect Score. However, outside the banners, there are only two pieces in the entire game that have this exact combination of tags. As such, if Infinity Nikki players want to fully complete the Mira Crown during this cycle, they are required to pull on the current Whimsical Reverie banner – which conveniently has what they need in its 5-Star Gliding Outfit.

Infinity Nikki Players Want Changes to the Mira Crown

With previous versions of the game having a similar pattern to its Mira Crown challenges, Infinity Nikki players worry that the game will continue to lock endgame rewards behind its currently featured banners. While the Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact does have a similar bias towards banner characters, it doesn’t prevent players from clearing it with “inferior” teams. As a result, the Infinity Nikki community wants the developers to adopt a similar approach to endgame rewards and have the Mira Crown be less dependent on gacha Outfits in Infinity Nikki.

While Infold has shown a willingness to listen to player feedback, as seen by the numerous quality-of-life changes added to Infinity Nikki, it remains to be seen if its generosity will continue in future updates. Version 1.3 is expected to launch on February 26, 2024.
