Take the characters from Dynasty Warriors, the gameplay mechanics from Vampire Survivors, and the progression system from a roguelike, and you’ve got the unholy combination that is called Warriors: Abyss. Despite the seemingly random mishmash of genres and mechanics, they merge together beautifully to create a truly entertaining experience.
For a new player who starts the game without any prior knowledge of many of these genres, absorbing everything all at once can be quite difficult due to the overwhelming amount of information that you’ll be bombarded with. How Many Attacks Are in Warriors: Abyss
The exact number of attacks that a player has varies from character to character. For Dynasty Warrior characters, there are five combos they can perform, as well as a sixth attack which is just used to summon a hero. However, for the Samurai factions, they have two sets of attacks, each with five combos. One is the normal attacks, while the second set is known as hyper attacks.
Summoned characters also perform unique attacks, though they go into cooldown after one use and can only be used again after the cooldown is over. You can check the details of each character’s summon attacks by looking at their profile.
The DW characters also have EX attacks which can be unlocked once the player gathers enough emblems. These add on to the combos and are some of the most effective ways to deal damage. Other than these attacks, players also have Musou and formation attacks. Each character has a unique musou attack, while the formation attack depends on the formation that the player has equipped at the time.

How To Unlock All Attacks in Warriors: Abyss
When the player initially starts a run, they only have access to four combos. However, as they gain more Skill emblems, whether through killing enemies or by recruiting characters with skill emblems, they unlock the fifth and sixth attacks.
Without the skill emblem upgrades, players won’t be able to use their fifth attack combo, and the summon attacks of characters in the fifth and sixth position. Moreover, they can also unlock EX attacks for DW characters when they reach a certain threshold.
