After surviving a Shipwreck, players finally make it to the city of Paradis in Avowed, only to be assassinated by an unknown enemy. After being resurrected by an entity, our protagonist baffles everyone gathered around their previously lifeless body. You must consult a Watcher as part of An Untimely End quest to learn more about the entity that resurrected the protagonist. Getting to the Watcher on top of the mountain can get confusing, but here’s a quick and easy way to get there.

How to Find the Watcher During An Untimely End in Avowed
After the “An Untimely End” quest starts, players must leave the City of Paradis via the eastern exit into the Dawnshore’s Southern Embrace in Avowed. After following the path to the quest marker, you’ll encounter some random enemies on the Usher’s Hand hill. You can choose to ignore them and keep heading north towards the Watcher’s locations.
Reaching the Shrine to Woedica
On your way, you’ll head under a large doorway to enter the Rise area. After following the path further, you’ll spot it leading into a cave. Instead of following the path, look towards the left to find some rocks that players can climb to reach the upper area. After climbing up, you’ll need to cross the bridge and go right until you reach the Shrine of Woedica.
How to Cross the Bridge at the Shrine to Woedica
Here, the bridge is collapsed and there’s no way to jump across the bridge. Check towards the left side of the bridge to spot the Eye of Rymrgand plants growing out of the rocks. Grab the plants, and use the weapon wheel to select the item so you can use them to freeze the water between the bridges, allowing you to cross it with ease.
Reaching Watcher Runyd’s House
After crossing the bridge, you’ll need to follow the twisting and turning paths until you reach Runyd’s House at the end of the trail. Entering the house, you’ll be greeted by the Watcher, who’ll interact with the entity locked inside the protagonist. Players will learn some new details about their survival, and after this can continue towards completing objective B of An Untimely End quest in Avowed.
